CONOR MCGREGOR is adamant he will shock the boxing world. On August 26, the reigning UFC lightweight champion will take on Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match. Mayweather vs. McGregor, a fight which just a few short months ago seemed like a pipe dream, takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Click Here To Read More]
LOL @ those mocking Conor's footwork. How did those 47 opponents with 'traditional' footwork do against Floyd again? Fact is if Conor could wave a magic wand and acquire the footwork of a pro boxer it would only put him at he a greater disadvantage. 47 tried and failed with it, than God Conor's going in there with something different.
On paper what round you got GGG KOing Canelo??? And let's bet. STFU or step up. I take all kinds of payments....
I'm gonna laugh my ASS off if GGG loses. You better have suicide hotline ready for you. I don't think your lil heart can take the stress....
... :bryce:
There Is a good chance of that happening. Floyd vs Manny started It and Floyd vs Mcgregor will probably end It. Unless Mcgregor can pull off a miracle and than the rematch would sell well on PPV.
If Floyd wasn't fighting Mcgregor right now he wouldn't be on PPV. He certainly Isn't going to fight Crawford, Spence,GGG or rematch Pacquiao or Canelo.
yep, we all saw Mayweathers drawing power without the pac narrative against berto. this fight only sells because of the stupid ufc v boxing story and mcg hyping it to hell and back
Last I saw he made 154 on a CALIBRATED scale...
WTF you gonna do when/if Canelo wins??? You gonna admit your wrong?
Nah your too fkn STUPID! You'll blame GGG age, judges, ref., drug testing, weight.
Ppl like you are too stupid to man up. You'll just drop GGG and jump on Lomachenko' s nuts.
Hey peanut brain, whatever the result of GGG vs Canelo, it won't alter the fact that Canelo won the WBC MW title at a catchweight and stalled for 2 years, until GGG had turned 35, before finally, at last, agreeing to fight him.
We have seen a clown like this before (naz hamed) the only difference is naz could fight in the boxing ring and your WWE ass can't box for sshhtt( we all seen your sparring session)fight night your going to bow down to the sweet science and get your ass whooped.
Not broke just gonna be watching a REAL boxing match between Cotto and Kamegei who BOTH would KFTO of Connor in boxing.
You could always see both, stream one. Cotto one might be better to stream....
Fear? I just hope this fight is as much a dud as I think it is and that it ocmpletely kills off the US PPV model so that we might finally start to get regular, world class fights.

Best comment I have seen on the Mayweather/McGregor fight was
"Finally we get the question answered : Who is better at boxing? an Elite boxer or someone else?"
One thing I will say about MMA is that they don't duck fights. They fight who Dana tells them to fight. Mayweather wouldn't be undefeated if boxing did the same. Real fighters don't have undefeated records...
That's a bunch of bull****. Mayweather has faced better opponents than pretty much every UFC fighter.
His resume is insane:
Cotto
Hatton
De la Hoya
Mosley
Pacquiao
Marquez
Judah
Gatti
Corrales
Castillo X2
Maidana X2
Canelo
Ortiz
Mitchell
Manfredy
Guerrero
Berto
Baldomir
Show me an MMA fighter with an unbeaten record as good as Floyd's....
We just have to admit Floyd is good. Really great at boxing in fact.
A LOT OF INSECURE BOXING FANS are shook about Conor destroying boxing in one night. The boxing community is a very jealous and envious community, and they will be embarrassed when an MMA fighter destroys one of boxings best within 2 rounds. Floyd goes to sleep in the 1st or 2nd.
Hey look everyone, its the rarely seen leprechaun gimp who actually thinks Mcgimper wins a single round. And this is just 1 more schmuck that is responsible for this abomination being made,so these two gimps can con imbeciles out of $100 & take a massive shît on the sweet science in the process. Thank you for demonstrating to the world just how retarded the average paddy Mcgimper fanboi is.

Ain't that the truth. Conor's footwork and controlling distance may be effective when you are anticipating kicks, take downs, etc, but it's total overkill for boxing. Wait til May gets him in the pocket and see how good his footwork is.
I really hope we get to see vintage Mayweather in this fight, letting his opponent trap him on the ropes and unload, while they punch in vain at thin air as he rolls the punches. I'd love to see the MMA fans explain that when their boy doesn't touch a glove on him despite being right up in his face against the ropes. I don't think they will even comprehend what's going on.
Clearly he ran... While he was in the corner and his back foot was outside the ropes... Or if his back was to the ropes and he was hanging in the pocket... Definitely ran away the whole fight...
If you don't intentionally let your opponent hit you flush on the chin then you're running scared
I trust Berto about as far as I can throw him.
As for McGregor, Conor must have a different interpretation of the word "footwork".

Conor will talk talk talk until Floyd hits him with the first straight lead right. Then Conor will refuse to attack again just like all the other opposition Floyd has fought. Conor will be humiliated to the point MMA fans will hate him.
I don't fear that Mayweather will lose, honestly I don't think anybody does. What I do fear is the very real prospect that Floyd will be content to just move, clinch and potshot for twelve rounds, and then when thw wide decision result is going to get announced, half the ignoramuses that got suckered into buying the fight will scream that McGregor got robbed, the other half will say that Floyd fought like a little girl and that all boxers are loser cowards, and all of them will proclaim that boxing is dead despite the fact that they've not even seen one minute of another boxing event that whole year. The net result will be a big stink that'll put a dark cloud over the sport in the same manner as Mayweather vs. Pacquaio. That's my only fear for how this whole fight pans out, and sadly the way I see it it's the likeliest outcome.
If you of the belief that a main event involving FMJ is a waste of money raise your hand. I have been watching the sport for 20 years. No thanks to that guy for 75% of his fights e.g Baldomir, Guerrero, Berto, Marquez (this was just a new low.. would not even step on a fight night scale). For the love of God would he just pay his bills and retire??

He thinks ALL boxers are flat-footed, even those who fight very much on the balls of their feet and far from flat-footed (as we view that term). He'd say Rigo is flat-footed too.
This is the key comment out of everything he has said. Because it shows he has NO idea what boxing entails. He is absolutely clueless. He's going to be so far out of his depth, it will be startling to see.
Yeah he is clearly talking in general.
I agree with you. When i was watching some footage of him boxing and training, it was glaringly obvious he doesn't even have the fundamentals down for boxing and definitely not the right feet and balance.
Just take away the name Conor McGregor and his stardom, can you imagine another guy getting into the ring with Mayweather of all people when you don't even have the most basic fundamentals. It's absolutely ridiculous really.
