I am seeing this fight everywhere. On every forum, website. Theres always people discussing this fight. Its all over Youtube as well, people even making tons of "reaction" videos to the littlest moments of the press conference.
Last night and today they were even airing the press conference clips on FOX news, which is the biggest news channel on all TV.
I also know people in real life who have mentioned the fight to me. People who are not even boxing or MMA fans. They just know the two stars involved because they are mega stars.
The first press conference had 6 times more viewers than Pacman/Mayweather press conference, and that was just 1 livestream.
This match will absolutely crush the Pacman/Mayweather numbers.

I hope the PPV will be higher than pac-floyd fight so that floyd have enough money to pay the IRS and feed his kids. :lol1:
So What? The fight is still a joke of a mismatch. Conor has no chance to win or even land more than a few wild punches. If millions of suckers want to pay $100 to watch a one sided beat down of a cage fighter by a great old boxer that's their choice. I'll watch it for free within a day or two after the fight is over. I won't pay to watch it live. I don't think anybody with much real knowledge of boxing gives Conor a chance to win. It probably will break all sales records because of the huge number of crazy fans with very little knowledge. Many fans believe pro wrestling is absolutely real and not staged. These are the type who think Conor will win and will pay$100 to watch it happen live.
"cage fighter"
Dude you sound like McGregor fights in the UFC in 1998. :lol1:
It would be a mistake to think that people in America w/ Irish blood have anywhere near the racial identity, loyalty, or interest in combat sports as Mexican Americans. It's not even close to being anything like that out here.
I do think this one sells well because it's two polarizing stars in their respective sports. I think the racial and national angles are a very small factor in this, as far as US buyers go.
I honestly don't know too much about it. But when I'm looking at most popular basketball teams, we've got Celtics up there. The notre dame college football team etc. Even Gerry Cooney when he was fighting.
Seems like when they get something irish they go behind it a lot.
But honestly I don't know that much about the mexican sports in the U.S besides the boxing.

Nah mate. Mcgregor's rematch with Diaz did like 1.6 million and I think his match with Alvarez did like 1.4. Suffice to say people know who Mayweather is more than Nate Diaz & Eddie Alvarez.
Heck to be honest in the mainstream people know Mcgregor more than Canelo Alvarez because of the language barrier and even Canelo got to 2.2 million or something like that with Mayweather just from boxing fans really. IMO you gotta start with at the LEAST 3 million for this.
We will see.....
Consider that 35 million people in the U.S are of irish descent - that's as much as Mexicans, but i think 3 times the buying power. It's like a perfect mix of everything.
Of course white america buys black too. most popular athletes ever have been black, especially boxers.

You usually post good stuff but that's^ nonsense. Pro basketball, Football, Will Smith, Chris Rock, etc prove that white America buys black just as much as they buy white. Hell, Floyd himself proves that.

Yes, I'm implying whites make up majority of USA population and have the most buying power and most are behind McGregor so they'll order this.
So...black people are broke? That's racist dude.
I honestly thought it wouldn't when it was talked about first.
But after seeing the tour, it was like the world stopped for it. Crazy.
4.6 million is a high high number. but could be beaten by this.

Why white though? Are you implying something here?

It will beat it, maybe even crush it. The hype is way way more for this fight.
Anecdotal evidence. Everyone at work knows that I've been a huge boxing fan for 40 years. I've had people come to my desk that I don't even know to ask me about this fight. Like dozens of people.
I think so as well. The entire buying force of White America will carry it past the 4.6M PPV record.

I say 2 million ppv buys
