No
Connor won't beat floyd for several reasons, these reasons would also be detrimental in a fight with GGG.
Connor is a counter-puncher and has never fought anyone with striking that is even remotely on a world class level. Conner killer weapon is pull-countering, something he has NO CHANCE on hitting mayweather with as floyd may be one of the greatest pull-counterers(if thats a word) ever. His opponents with out fail have been sub par strikers, no footwork, little head movement, little to no set ups, looking away when striking and lunging with there chins up.
GGG is also a very good counter puncher - not as good as floyd of course but still world class, he has very heavy hands, is defensively responsible and is one of the best today at getting in close and cutting of the ring. Connor would have no chance, it would not last past the 4 round.
Dude the only reason Connor might last the full 12 rounds is because Floyd hits like a little girl
GGG would brutally ice this BUM in the first round
Canelo might take 2 or 3
Man if mcdonald wins somehow it wont be because hes a great boxer itll probably be some crazy ass outta nowhere punch that he lands and kos floyd(thats not gonna happen though.) Hed be getting his ass beat before hitting a home run punch. If he tried fighting ggg or canelo after that hed get seriously hurt and abused by either of them.
If he is good enough to beat Mayweather under boxing rules {he isn't}then he would be an excellent opponent for the GGG-Canelo winner. The fight would make huge money and not be considered a circus side show.
No, Id rather see him fight Jeff Horn thats the fight I want next
Horn would knock McGregor the fvck out! Horn is 10 times better than that Irish idiot.
If Conor wins...
- It'll be Conor vs Nate Diaz, next for the trilogy (in MMA)
- Then the Conor vs Mayweather rematch (back in Boxing)
The rationale...
The UFC still owns Conor's rights, so to speak, they only "allowed" this Boxing match to happen out of goodwill, it was a huge payday for Conor. But the next fight, if he beats Floyd, will be back in MMA... to bring all that hype, all the attention, to the UFC.
And Nate Diaz, stylistically, is a beatable opponent for Conor. They won't dare give Conor a guy like Khabib, or Tony Ferguson, or anyone with good wrestling, not yet anyway. They're gonna milk it.
GGG, or Canelo would still not be as big an attraction as the Floyd rematch would be.
