In the history of boxing, which fighter has had the best cardio in terms of never getting tired while being active?
Also, is super human stamina about genetics or training?
Aaron Pryor comes to mind but that thing with the black bottle, is suspect and his trainer was shady probably put some drugs to give him stamina in there.
Prime Pacquiao
I never seen a fighter throw with that much stamina, and relentless he was not dropping weak **** either, he was throwing fast straight punch power punches down the middle non stop at 122-130 pounds.
He would do that for 12 rounds, moving his head, remember when Pac used to fight like Ippo with that head movement firing off the straight left down the middle.
of the old school guys of course Henry Armstrong.
Listen I hate the guy but credit where credit is due -- Kenny Rainford had some really stellar stamina.
Sutherland woulda beat that ass but he started to gas after the first 20 seconds.
This.
Can't forget about Hank Armstrong either. Perpetual motion.
Also Paul Williams was a machine too as far as recent.
This is true. Williams had a ton of energy for someone fighting below his natural weight. If anything you'd expect him to move more not throw loads and loads.
Is Antonio Margarito a person belonging in that list?
I would say no. It had less to do with his cardio and more to do with the fact that his opponent's broke down quicker due to being hit with bricks. Of course you're gonna overwhelm people when there's cement in your gloves. Once they were removed, we saw the results, all of a sudden he looked like a sloppy featherfisted bum in the Pacquiao and Cotto 2 fights. They showed he was a fraud.
Michael Carbajal definitely belongs on this list, he came from behind a few times...
First fight with Humberto Gonzalez and the fight with Jorge Arce (Both are amazing, especially Arce he was on his very last legs at that point).
Aaron Pryor.
Agreed. He threw a lot of punches and hardly looked winded.
This, the dude was like a windmill with his punches. It's crazy when you watch the Arguello fight's how fast he was and how it continued even as we got into the later rounds (oh wait, that black bottle was there :nonono:, the one that got mixed SMH). Still, Pryor was awesome. Shame on Ray for not taking him on he was a legend.
2 of the 3 "Sugar's" deserve mentions too. Leonard and Robinson.
