Now this dude is reaching and really getting on my nerves. I hope Floyd makes him quit.
Tuesday afternoon at the first Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor press conference, the pair both gave speeches, most of which were trash talk, in front of a packed Staples Center arena.
McGregor kicked off the event, where he boldly predicted that he would finish Mayweather in the first four rounds of the event. Predicting that Mayweather has never seen someone who moves like him.
He spoke at the post-press conference media scrum:
“No one knows what’s coming, and that’s why there’s a lot of fear in the boxing community and in his camp. They don’t know what to expect. I’m going to come out a lot different.’
“I am fighting. He’s boxing. The two worlds collide.”
“I just don’t think he’s ever seen anything like this,’’ McGregor said. “I don’t think the boxing world has ever seen this kind of power, this kind of velocity, this type of movement. These attacks are different.”
“Until you’ve seen the traditional martial arts style against a flat-footed style like boxing, you can’t compare,’’ McGregor said. “I have the footwork advantage by a mile.”
While McGregor is accustomed to dominating the mental warfare aspect of fight buildup, Mayweather came out extremely aggressive in the trash talk department, however it was McGregor who gave the first speech, where he trash talked Mayweather:
“There’s some psychological warfare going on,’’ McGregor said. “But at the end of the day, I’m just looking at him and I’m looking at his little frame and knowing that I’m going to run through that.”
“Look, this is easy. No one’s kicking me, no one’s elbowing me, no one’s trying to choke me. You know what I mean?”

Thanks bro! I just try to focus on kids and training moreso now, I see my own kids and kids at our gyms and I am so amazed at their guts and competitiveness. Im left in aww after every Friday night after sparring. Fighting of any kind test you mentally and physically with ever punch you throw and take. Hell missing or taking one on the glove takes a lil something out of you. Ive gained a lot of respect for MMArtists over the passed couple years but I dont respect them saying boxing isnt fighting or acting like they can just cross over with ease.
You are welcome bud. I think what you are doing In the gym participating with kids and spending quality time with your own kids Is very honorable and something that they will remember forever. It also doesn't hurt that they are able to get their aggression's out.
I have never been real Interested In the sport of MMA and I think Mcgregor Is In for the shock of his life, this Isn't Jose Aldo or Nick Diaz that Is going to be standing across from him. If he has even a remote chance It will be In the first 3-4 rounds. I also think there Is a good chance that he retires on his stool somewhere between the 5th and 7th round from exhaustion and frustration. That's If his corner doesn't stop It first.
Honestly idk how more people aren't embracing the craziness of this whole thing. Thats just how I am doe. Too many cats here got grumpy old man syndrome & just see half empty glasses everywhere they look.
I ain't gonna hate very hard on something involving boxing very often outside of the infrastructure of boxing which is where my inner grumpy old man comes out at & I'll go into a 4 paragraph rant like a crazy person over.
Im starting to fall for it. I was going to stream it but now I am willing to go over some1s house and watch it. The more I watch I may even throw in...
This is what he wants and you people falling for it, he doesn't mean anything he says..he says sh** to upset you so you can order the fight to watch floyd whoop his ass...this is all scripted..it's big money for both of them...of course they're not gonna hug each other and show each other respect..this fight is rubbish..this is the only way they can make people waste their money
Not likely. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would find it hilarious if McGregor knocks out Mayweather. And most believe he has virtually no chance of winning anyway. So nothing to fear.

I know you're loving this stuff right now Panda. I bet youve had a perma chub since the fight was announced. lol :boxing:
Actually, the fact that you are In there sparring makes you special. Their are many here that couldn't put on a boxing glove and learned boxing through a video game. I have sparred for many years and you win some and lose some. You should feel proud of the fact that you have the guts to get In the ring.

It creates a lot of power but its terrible for combination punching. The hardest Ive ever been hit in sparring was by a MMArtist but he never followed up after he rocked me, I dont think he even knew, its just not their thing and you cant learn that in a few months. Punch resistance is also way different. Ive stopped mid sparring against boxers that were really good because I kept getting hit and I knew it woulda ended bad for me. No shame in saying it, Ive never been anything special. Just saying theres a worlds difference.

It is 154 Boxing Amateurs who would beat the sh1t out of McGregor in a Boxing Match. I'm a McGregor Fan but boxing and MMA is not the same and he will learn that August 26th the hard way but I respect his confidence!
Marciano record standing. Mayweather will make history as an exemple of how greed ruinned one's legacy. This will be shocking. Mayweather is only a shell of himself now
yes, i think so, he is 40 now and been out of the ring for 2 years. won't take a chance imo. would love to see him do it. i actually enjoyed his canelo performance and would love to see him do it again but who knows. i can see him frustrating mcgregor to the point of quitting, like loma did to walters
Instead of No Mas, itd be "No fookin more". lol
A wide stance is horrible for boxing. It's hilarious that both he and Brendan Schaub think that the karate stance is going to help. It might help the first couple of rounds, but once Floyd times him he is gonna look sloppy and slow on his feet.

Yeah hes out of his mind. That karate footwork is all bad in a boxing ring lol
Really? I think Floyds going to stand in there like he did with Victor Ortiz.

He obviously hasn't read any boxing forums and the opinions of boxing fans. :lol1:
Well he is basically throwing shade at all of us considering we as fans are apart of the boxing community. Conor will make for a good meme after Floyd ends Conors boxing career after 1 fight...

Its going to be like the Gatti fight (R.I.P. Gatti)
You think so? I keep visioning Victor Ortiz with out the controversy. And I changed my original quote, I had Floyd in place of Conor...
This man is going to gas and quit on his stool. He is already hiding behind the excuse about this not being a real fight and he is right. Its not a real fight, its an execution, Conor doesn't have the character to complete 12 rounds.
Green k on the way
did he call floyd flat footed? :lol1:
i don't think floyd will stop him, he'll win 12 out of 12 but floyd will be floyd and won't take any risk. even vs a guy 0-0-0

I hope its a BRUTAL stoppage or to be honest itd be better if Floyd made him quit. Some MMA fans say hes a quitter so itd be funny to see him quit in his stool or pull a Victor Ortiz.
Any boxing fan on NSB going for Floyd should give up their account after this fight and join sherdog.
Its going to be like the Gatti fight (R.I.P. Gatti)
