Why is there a consensus that Lomachenko is above Rigondeaux on the P4P list?

At the time this thread was written, the TS made a valid point. Once they fought, Loma dominated him.

If rigondeaux had some decent to good wins after donaire, he would be higher ranked. But the Donaire fight is 4 years ago and none of his opponent really add to his legacy since then.

Because he's been more impressive lately. Nothing more to it. P4P lists are made on a yearly basis. Lomachenko has been more impressive over the last year or two than Rigondeaux has.

I never had Lomachenko above number 10 on my p4p list despite the hype. I definitely never placed him above Rigondeaux as I always felt he was never more skilled nor wanted to meet the challenge in Rigondeaux. Once again he's avoided a fight with Rigondeaux. People love to use the excuse due to lack of activity and fights Rigo isn't placed high. So why is Lomachenko thought to be p4p top 3? Nobody who shuts Russell out, makes Walters quit, and has shown to be very impressive, despite the close loss to salido, is a hype job. 9 fights with his resume isn't a hype job. Rigondeaux's opponents have not been that great, and more are likely basing it off of that. I also don't understand why yet AGAIN we have to bring skin color into this discussion. I'm a Rigondeaux fan too but not in the way you are. Arum deserves some of the blame but not all of it. The inactivity is why he's not rated higher on the P4P and that's Guillermo and his management team's fault.I'll say that the boxers around Rigondeaux's weight are at fault. Well I can't really defend Lomachenko being top 3 P4P, but he definitely deserves to be ranked higher than Rigo. His resume is superior to Rigo's because he's actually fought better opponents. The Fact that GRJ looks unstoppable right now at 126 gives Lomachenko's resume a huge boost over Rigo's. It matters what your opponents do after you beat them. If you beat a guy that's on a winning streak and he does **** afterwards, all that means is that they weren't that good to begin with. Look at where Donaire is right now. He got demolished by Nicholas Walters, another guy Lomachenko beat, and he got schooled by Magdaleno. The Donaire fight is Rigo's biggest win and that took place 4 years ago. He hasn't faced anyone noteworthy in the last 4 years.It could be that Rigondeaux ruined donaire.

Here is the facts to why Lomachenko is above Rigondeaux. 1. The 2nd man to only win his world title at his 3rd pro fight. 2. Russel Jr. Nicholas Walters. Roman Martinez, Jason Sosa in his resume into his 9th pro fight. 3. Eye to eye skill set is unparalleled. 4. His dominance and climbing to weight can only be compared to a Prime Floyd Mayweather and a Prime Pacquiao. 6. He fights three times a year. Not only does Lomachenko has a better resume, better credentials, better career, and more active, he is also better than Rigo in the eye to eye test.The first one is not true. lomachenko fought 6 times in wsb, with professional rules, and the fact that he was paid for it, make him a professional fighter before his debut in the USA. the second one is a valid point then again Rigondeaux has nonito on his resume, a FOY boxer and a PXP fighter at the time they fought, a very high pXp rank. Eye to Eye the Cuban has unparalleled skill set, too number 4 you can compare him to floyd not manny. floyd move up in weight and never fought the best at those weights. I could say he fought castillo at 135 and loss the first fight, imho. and he fight three times a year because arum is building him up.
