All this talk about golovkin not liking body shots and vulnerable to the body has no basis at all. First of all ggg has never ever been dropped amateur or pro. Even kovalev has been koed cold in the amateurs. Second, there is no videotape of any fight where ggg is hurt to the body. Where is the evidence of ggg being vulnerable to the body? A guy who could not even drop angulo or chavez jr from body shots is gonna stop ggg to the body? I can't wait to laugh at you morons after the fight. I'm gonna make a YDKSAB thread.
Has he ever fought anyone as good as Canelo?
No he hasn't. I still keep coming back to it being a bad match up for Canelo. Has Canelo fought anyone with this kind of power, physical advantages and this durable?
Has he ever fought anyone as good as Canelo?
Who is to say that canelo punches harder the big MW? It will be interesting for sure. I'm a huge ggg fan but I have to favor canelo 55-45 based on his experience.
he's only fought eight top-10 middleweights doe
All C level, save for Jacobs, top 10 means sh1t if they suck.
Also the word is he was in fact dropped by a bodyshot in sparring. And...just because one has never been dropped, doesn't mean they won't, or can't be.
Canelo is a much better fighter than Jacobs man
You think canelo would beat jacobs? Thats not really a sure bet . Bigger than guys like floyd and lara, can move just as well and hits harder than both. Canelo would have his hands full with him.
Canelo has never fought so big and strong man like GGG is. because GGG is no Chavez jr, Chavez jr. is fat lazy as.
Canelos experience at 154 won`t be relevant on fight night.
Height and reach are important, but weight is even more important.
GGG is more proven at 160 pounds so he should deserve to be the favorite to beat Canelo Alvarez who is totally unproven.
i agree thats important ,but Jacobs fight in diffrent style ,Canelo is not baseing on his reach and height.
GGG is Favorite for a reason but dont forget that Canelo have expiriance with great boxers ,GGG will fight on this level for the first time.
Thats a point i can agree with ,but not that Jacobs beig taller is crucial here cuse Canelo fight nothing like Jacobs ,Also GGG fight night weight is not much bigger then Lara nad Trout weight witch are big JMWs,Canelo fight in the pocket ,Jacobs is outside fighter on his toe's

Being ranked is according to who you are ranked against man...who are these great fighters he has defeated?? I can be from a small town and be the best ball player in the city..what does that really mean?
If you're the best ball player from your city you still aren't ranked in any world rankings. They were.
Those are all success against light middleweight opposition. Canelo Alvarez's skills have only been displayed against opposition below 160 pounds. Thus, it's irrelevant because this fight against GGG is happening at 160 pounds and Canelo Alvarez has shown no 'skills' at 160 pounds against a top middleweight simply by virtue of having no fights at 160 pounds. He also has no accomplishments at 160 pounds either.
Similarly, Terence Crawford's 'skills' or accomplishments shown below 160 pounds is irrelevant when discussing a potential fight between Crawford and GGG at 160 pounds. Those 'skills' or accomplishments are relevant only if he can show them at 160 pounds as well.

I just think that Canelo's feet are just too slow in order to evade GGG's firepower. Golovkin is going to be fighting off the front foot pushing Alvarez backwards.
Not only is GGG the heavier handed of the two, but he is also the the busier puncher too. This just doesn't bode well for Saul Alvarez.
He'll have his moments but in the end Gennady's precise and surgical punches shall prevail. I personally don't see Ginger lasting past the sixth round.
Lol ppl on this side are comical ,Canelo is 5'7 he cant be a threat for GGG :pat:
He have a lot of skills going for him and GGG style is perfect for him.Trout and Chavez was also taller and Canelo was finding them with no problems ,Trout was even leaning back.

I dont really like compubox much, but if your eyes aint telling you the same as mine I guess its a relevent resource. Both are A sides and darlings of HBO so one would hope any bias should be fairly balanced. GGGs typically a 65 - 70 punch a round guy and can keep that sh1t up consistantly over 12. Canelos on average about a 40 punch a round guy whose output varies considerably over the course of a fight. Both guys are highly accurate (over 40%). Golovkin has an exceptional jab (against the level of opposition hes faced) whereas Canelos is accurate but underutilized. Against their most recent foes each landed and threw about the same number of punches so things may be less disparate than the historical stats suggest... except that Canello was fighting an ambulatory heavy bag (and still got fatigued) whereas Golovkin landed the same number against a mobile target under a storm of return fire.
I could be wrong about the outcome man, my pick em results sure as sh1t don't inspire confidence.. but about who is the volume pucher with the engine? I ain't wrong about that.
70 per round is not some impossible **** doe ,also GGG is takeing breaks ,you cant say he isnt ,wheather Canelo is getting gassed or not ,his not showing it ,imo if GGG wins this fight its not by output but tactic and power.
GGG thrown on avarage 51 punches vs Jacobs so its not some monster out put.
just sayin that in my humble opinion stamina wont be a huge factor here, but body shots can be.
Daniel Jacobs is a 'BETTER' MIDDLEWEIGHT than Canelo Alvarez just by virtue of Daniel Jacobs having more success at middleweight than Canelo Alvarez and Canelo Alvarez having 0 success / accomplishments at middleweight / 160 pounds.
Who is more talented and etc. can become irrelevant here. I'm sure most would agree that Vasyl Lomachenko is more talented and skilled than Anthony Joshua. However, they'd also have to agree that Anthony Joshua would be a much riskier and dangerous fight for someone like Oleksandr Usyk than Vasyl Lomachenko.
A bigger sized skillful opponent (Daniel Jacobs) is more and riskier as an opponent than a smaller sized skillful opponent (Canelo Alvarez).
When evaluating fights, we have to go by the weight class the fight is happening in and who has the better accomplishments at that SPECIFIC weight class. Canelo Alvarez's success below middleweight / 160 pounds becomes irrelevant because this fight is happening at 160 pounds. The same way Oleksandr Usyk's success at cruiserweight will be irrelevant when evaluating a potential fight between him and Anthony Joshua at heavyweight.
GGG is not a fighter with big out put or great stamina Either.
