Rabbit punches are illegal and this racist scum hit Ward with quite a few. The referee gave him a stern warning as well. He also consistently head locked Ward, something he continued from the 1st fight. The referee also warned him for that.
Edit: Oh I forgot to mention Kovalev also turned his back to Ward voluntarily. If I remember correctly that is against boxing rules and shows a total lack of experience at pro level. More grounds for disqualification.
Not grounds for DQ, but definitely relevant to this fight. It seems that all attention is being drawn to 1 questionable blow for Ward vs multiple clear rabbit punches by Kovalev.
They were both warned for their offenses, but Kovalev actually did it more often. Ward critics are pushing Kovalev's rabbit punching under the rug because Ward stopped him and they are salty about it.
Low blows never killed anybody or gave them bleeding on the brain.
Silly mofo
:lol1:
Fools need to do their research. They probably have no idea who Prichard Colon is.
Disqualified for what? Being soft and having no clue what to do on the inside?
I'm surprised at how weak he is mentally and in the trenches.
This thread is a reply to kovboys who think it should have been a DQ for illegal blows. If you're going to use that train of thought then why not disqualify Kovalev for rabbit punches?

I learned something today. Russian men's balls are only 3" below their navel!
come on it shows a clear low blow shot in the gallery. The punch lands on the letters not on the belt line.
i guess the nuts are a body shot now. One of the pictures in the gallery shows a clear low blow.

The body shots were legit (borderline) but the stoppage was absolute bull****. Since there is no standing 8 count under Vegas rules, Kovalev should have been allowed to go down for a 10 count.

I haven't seen the fight yet. I have only read about it. I will see next weekend. So many posters are saying Ward should have been DQed or Kovalev should have been DQed. It sounds like a hell of a rough, dirty fight with both boxers bending the rules as much as possible.
Lol welcome to Ward vs. Kovalev. Both fights so dirty from the top 2(?) p4p fighters lol.

^I thought I remembered that but wasn't sure so that's for mentioning that. Given there was no option for the 8, I am a little more forgiving of the finish. Weeks disrespected both Ward and Kov by not letting it play out a little more because Ward needed to kill any controversy (which is why he trained for a KO) and Weeks robbed him of that. ....But... Kovalev was not fighting back, he was getting clobbered, and you can't say Kovalev was still in the fight so I can't get too mad at Weeks.
I don't think he should have been disqualified since they are both gritty fighters and it was going to be an ugly fight, just like the first. Weeks is good with fighters like this so I think he handled it well by letting these two work through it and fight their own fight. Kov deserved a standing 8, but that would be mostly for formality since he was done at that point.

Kovalev has been the dirtier fighter in both fights, so people can't complain about Ward here. Also, much of Kovalev's illegal tactics came to bite him in the ass, he doesn't like to get physical up close and that's likely why his stamina was crappy in both fights.
