I've been watching Lil Floyd his entire career and I believe that he could care less about any fan. If he wanted to help boxing get back to what it was of old then scheduling his fight 3 weeks before a major fight in GGG vs Canelo is a slap in the face... We all know that it's all about money but, trying to get viewers to buy his fight and knowing that he will be stinking the joint out by running from a MMA fighter is a joke. It will definitely leave a bad taste in people mouths and if that happens then it may turn people away from the GGG fight meaning low buys and boxing taking another hit... Just my O... Any comments welcome.
No and why should he
Boxing fans are some the worst fans in all of sports. Mondy "Bixing fans " hope he loses and wish him nothing but the worst even though he's done almost everything you'd expect from a boxer
He's crossed over and Casual fans write his cheques
So Floyd signed to fight Mcgregor "for the fans" yet none of the Floyd worshippers In this thread truly believe him. Would that make him a liar? These are the same fans that have defended him telling lies for years so why all of a sudden Is he a liar? Is It to hard to accept the fact that he cares about you?
I laughed when I read that question.
Do you really think boxers care about their fans?
They care how many fans they have but they don't care what their fans think
The only thing Mayweather cares about is making money and convincing as many people as possible that he is the best boxer who ever lived. Mayweather is all about ego and having a vast some of money and flaunting it makes him feel important. Damn near everybody loves money but not as much Floyd money Mayweather loves money. Mayweather will make another fortune for beating up a great MMA fighter who never had a pro boxing match in his life. He could care less if it hurts boxing. He could probably make the same money fighting Thurman or another current champion but he might lose. That would damage his TBE image which is the only other thing besides money that he gives a damn about.
Sure he does, the Mcgregor fight Is for the fans, they demanded It and he came out of retirement to accommodate them. He said so himself. Now If that Isn't fan loyalty, I don't know what Is.
Most athletes don't care about the fans. Especially the ones that sit back and criticize these athletes and act like they know more than them about their respective sport. Most athletes will tell you they can't stand some of these know it all fans.
I wouldn't care about what the fans thought either. Most aren't objective an usually project their insecurities and biases.
Fans don't know what they want most if the time anyway.....
