Anthony Joshua has used it in the past too. I also remember American Olympic swimmers with cupping marks last Olympics.
I've had this done +accupuncture on my back for an old injury between my spine and shoulder blade. It draws out any "bad blood" through your skin that may be lingering around causing problems after an injury. The blood was so dark, almost black.
I felt immediate relief after that to a certain extent. The benefits faded with time, but it still feels better than it was before.
I've seen UFC/MMA guys doing it in the past many times. Didn't know of it as Hijama doe.
I've heard a lot of Kazakhstani athletes use it, the therapy has Persian roots so they're exposed to it since they're geographically close to this culture. I wasn't expecting to see something like that from Bivol though.
That's basically Muslim version of doping. They believe it has some effect on the stamina, and helps the body to produce more testosterone and interferons and increases oxygen and blood floow
Why you do it? What was the process like? What results you have?
Definitely seems like some interesting sh^t I wouldn't be opposed to trying. I'm an avid floater myself since hearing about it on JRE so not against kinda weird sh^t.
Just for the sake of trying it. It was very relaxing and refreshing and the results were big round marks on my back, looked like I'd been abducted by UFOs. It was good tho, very relaxing like I said, there isn't really a 'feeling' after the therapy is over.

Interesting though the medical benefits are unconfirmed - I know Ms Koba's done 'dry' cupping (although I didn't know there was a 'wet' sort) as a therapy in the past for de-stressing and lymph movement, but all these things tend to have a high placebo value - ie you probably wouldn't be doing that ish if you didn't believe it was gonna help you.
