Who'd you have winning this?
Ohara 15-0 (12 ko's)
Taylor 10-0 (9 ko's)
Both young prospects, personally I'm split, but if pushed I would pick Ohara because that sort of arrogant kunt seems to win
In pretty much every worthwhile category you can think of (punch variety, size, footwork etc.) Taylor has the advantage. But I just have the subsequently entirely irrational feeling that O'Hara is just going to iron him out. Must be riding his hype train without realising it. Looking forward to the fight; great match up.
Ahhh my bad. I can hardly understand anything Josh says so that might be my problem with that.
And I just saw a video a few days back where Hearn & Ohara were talking about the offer being too good damn near so that's why that was my take on that.
It doesn't really seem like a fight you'd wanna make now unless the money was too good cuz both guys seem like they could have legit top ten potential & I don't think either guy was close to legit top ten status. Although the winner of this fight could slip into the legit top ten I think one could argue with how soft 140 is outside the top couple guys.
Davis has been on a tear since that Mathews fight, calling out everyone, confidence sky high. Strike while the irons hot. Taylor thinks hes simply better than him. Like many have said, Im with the view the loss doesnt really hurt either of them
Davis has extremely long arms so if he applies his jab it could be a tough night for Taylor. But it is 50/50 imo.
Taylor has height and reach advantages on Davies, faster, more skillful, hits just as hard
From the sounds of it I think Barry thinks Josh Taylor is special & Ohara Davis got an offer he couldn't refuse from Barry & Hearn wasn't going to hold him back from. Not to say Ohara isn't confident cuz I think he's been calling out Josh for half a year or longer.
Pretty much the opposite, Taylor started calling Davies out first, Davies said he hadnt done enough to deserve it, lol. Hearn sent the first offer and Cyclone felt they were being lowballed, so Hearn told them to do it
Let's hope it's just the speed he inherited from Khan :lol1:
Lol!
He seem to have some of the same flaws but luckily for him not khan's chin.
We will probably know after the fight with Davis
This is a damn good fight for both of these prospects. Surprised they made it this early.
Am shocked to be honest. I havent seen enough of these two doe. Heard about them but never watch them live, but to do it this early is a surprise.

That's what I thought too, both sides must be pretty confident of getting the W
Davies is clearly the better fighter but Taylor is big for a modern welter and can hit somewhat hard. Thing is, neither guy is that impressive and both look way too robotic each time i've seen them. The fact that they're both in their mid 20s and still prospect levels does not bode well either.
Whoever wins will go onto be embarassed at the world level.
Exactly my thoughts, Ohara has exactly the same wide, flat footed stance as AB and is skilled with power, I don't think he would handle movement that well.
But the hype is strong, so beware!
So you you think he Taylor is gonna run for 12 rounds, first time I saw Taylor thought he look good when he went to the states he was exposed even though he won Ohara gonna beat him up
I think this will be a great fight,I would have gone but bought tickets to Saunders Vs Khurtsidze before the fight was announced. David has extremely long arms so if he applies his jab it could be a tough night for Taylor. But it is 50/50 imo.
Has the under card been announced for the Saunders fight yet?

I hope you boys are right, Taylor does have good skills and power so hopefully he wins, Ohara comes off as Broner v2

Taylor is a lot more talented technically, way better skills. But haven't see either guys heart or will tested. But still, I'm picking Taylor in clear fashion.
