KELL BROOK has been putting himself through hell in the Canary Islands again. And the crazy golf fan is right on course with his preparations for his clash against Errol Spence Jnr this weekend. The IBF welterweight champion spent the last 12 weeks in Fuerteventura preparing to face the American in a massive fight at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane. Click Here To Read More]
Biggest difference I notice vs lesser competition, Kells biggest punches have been timing shots versus aggressors. Big jab v porter, timing rights v senchenko, timing hooks v jones. This is not a knock on brook but he has capitalized on fighters being out of position and his speed being a neutralizer.
Spence has landed brutal shots that have broken men's wills. Power hooks after he's been invited into neutral air space from excessive body work. Spence has broken his competition where kell has outboxed his. If kell can stand up then he may win, but Spence plans to break this man down and destroy. I know which style I like more even as a boxing purist.
Brook has more experience and seems to take Spence more serious then Spence takes brook. Errol has to many yes men around him and seems like they arent ready for how well Kell has prepared. I'm still rooting for Spence though it will be hard with the UK being biased and 30k booing you.
He earned massive amounts of money and I think it made him lazy. He didn't come back from he's loss like a great, he sure likes he's food, but he got out healthy and rich so from that point of view he did good. But like him or hate him, he was always entertaining and he's fights were generally exciting.i agree with that man. Let's hope we have a good fight Saturday.
pete , he was a descent fighter and fun to watch . He did beat a few descent guys and everyone thought he was going to blow through Barrera but we all know what happened in that fight . Now if prince would have continued his career after that defeat who knows how good he could have been. But he didn't he went away in shame and that was the end of him . Why , cause he probably wasn't going to be the fighter he thought he could be and what everyone wanted from him.

LOL Naseem never even trained for the fight. He was just there to make weight, Hamed missed weight and had to treadmill of in a steam bath. He as a dead man walking in that fight.
He only sparred 10 rounds for that fight. Insane.
Prince Naseem was on a different level than anybody I've seen in quite sometime he had the charisma, the skill, the entertainment value. Brook is not on Prince level nor is anybody in the welterweight division as far as entertainment value goes. But I'm just glad he didn't use the cliche Jeff Lacey reference. Lol
Though I like both, flash in the pan Chapelle couldn't carry Dangerfield's microphone. Rodney had a decades-long career and several major films. Dave imploded in less than 3 years on TV. He's the Tyson Fury of comedy.
Kell's interviews make me think he's prepared to lose. He went through it last year and I think his confidence, his feeling of invincibility is broken. That matters in fight like this when you've got a young lion ready to take your head off.
Dangerfield is similar to Kell Brook.. They both get no respect..
Your boy wishing he was going against lacey & Kelley....Errol "The Truth" Spence Jr. wins late T.K.O.
we shall see in a few days.
I am hoping for a good fight.
Come on Patsfan your not being fair. Hamed beat the European champion over 12 as a novice. He stopped good durable and experienced guys like Robinson and Medina, decent champions like Johnson, Bungu, Soto,Mccullough, Vazquez and Kelley, better guys than Spence has faced as yet. When he fought up and comers like Sanchez and Alicea he smashed them in style. Losing to Barrera doesn't make him a bum or a hype job. He was a good fighter, who had dominant entertaining wins against men who were always taller and with longer reaches. How quickly we forget.pete , he was a descent fighter and fun to watch . I was thinking it will be more like prince vs Barrera. Really Brook should compare himself to prince . The prince was really a has been who never was. You brits talk about Spence being a hype job, prince was a real hype job.

I just think Spence is not ready for a fast moving opponent like Brook. This is a schooling type of fight for Errol.
What's funny is that your "fast moving" brook couldn't even be "fast moving" against a slow flat-footed easy to hit lil g. Errol "The Truth" Spence Jr. wins late T.K.O.
When I read the headline I laughed hard.
I just don't see Brook having much of a chance against Spence. Errol is bigger, taller, longer reach, and is better with the jab and the inside game.
Brook's best chance is to move laterally and not get caught on the ropes...or else he's toast.
Brook has quote possibly the best jab in boxing.
He's also more skilled with better footwork and punch delivery. It's going to be a good one.

I dare you to watch a caddyshackesque Dangerfield movie from start to finish. ;)
For the rest, i think you're right. Spence is not only hungry but HUGE! Kell is used to have a size advantage. not this time. Still think it will be good though.
Hamed was an overrated hyped up British bum like Brook who fought a limited fighter name Kevin Kelly (Brook fought Porter, a pillow fisted inside fighter who smothers his own work). The second Hamed stepped up to fight a good fighter (Barrera) he was embarrassed and sent into retirement at the age of 28. On May 27th, Spence will send Brook into retirement with a vicious beat down leading to KO.i agree so much , I wrote a similar post earlier today. Let's go Spence .

Got an email earlier saying there will be extra security, full body searches at the entrance and no bags allowed inside the arena.
Fight will go ahead as normal, but we've to arrive early due to the extra security checks.
Yeah that's what I expected would happen.... the extra security should probably be the standard now as we live in a world where these terror attacks happen fairly frequently.
im right here in the states man.... Lets hope eddie hearn updates the fans because the public workout is on wednesday.....
Unless Brook or Spence lost a family member in that tragedy the fight will go on as planned. There's nothing to update which is why you haven't heard anything. Security will probably be on higher alert though.
