What do you think of Adrien Broner vs Mikey Garcia in July?

F*ck yes, 2017 is a great year for boxing. Broner is still a live dog, good chin and counter punches well so he'll put up a good fight if Mikey comes forward. We'll see how his power carries up too.

Broner is much bigger than Garcia, although Garcia is the far superior boxer. I'd sooner see fights between boxers who are the same size. Fair enough. I don't know what Garcia personally wants to do weight wise but while he's at 135 he's got Linares and Easter Jr, those are great options.

What the hell happened to Garcia-Linares? Probably because Mikey has been working with Shaefer and Linares is with Golden Boy.

I saw Broner last Sunday at Liv in Miami. He is out of control. He was drinking but not heavily. But he danced on a VIP couch alone with barely anyone near him for like 4 straight hours, even before the place got packed. I think he was on drugs. He also looked fat. Grinding out debatable decisions against guys like Granados is actually pretty impressive for him in his current state. Mikey Garcia, or anyone close to that level destroys Broner. He's done as meaningful fighter and has been for a while.

Why not Broner vs. Crawford? Both are the same size. That's an OK fight. Seems even more one-sided than this one though.

Mikey is just flat out more skilled. He is the better fighter but the wild card is the weight. How will going up effect Mikey and will broner even make weight regardless what they agree on. I'm taking Garcia regardless the weight broner has been regressing for years lost to every good fighter he's faced since moving up from 135. He's also struggled with B and C class fighters at 140 and 147. His last decent win was against an old Paulie who even in his prime wasn't all that. And that win was razor tight.

Yea Mikey isn't stupid. He knows the score. If Broner comes in overweight Mikey is just gonna be happier cuz he'll get paid more & he's beating Broner if Broner weighs 140, 143 or 147. Weight isn't gonna play much of a part if any here. I agree. He's too technically sound for Broner

I lean toward Garcia but he's been exploiting his ability to make weight for years. He's a big dude on fight day, when he starts fighting natural 147 pounders who are just as big as he is, $hlt will change. I'd rather see Garcia fight fight Crawford. That's a fun fight. One that Will challenge Crawford AND Garcia. I lean toward Crawford on this one.

I am sure Garcia will beat him. Broner beats good fighters but he always loses to excellent fighters.

wouldnt be too excited, garcia is levels above broner. would be very one sided, just as the porter and maidana fights are. im still waiting for it to sink in with posters on this site that broner really isnt much good... I'm not sure why people haven't come to this realization as well. Broner just isn't anywhere near that good. Garcia would toy with him. At least before the Maidana fight it seemed like he was going to at least try to work on his craft and become elite. Marcos straight up took his soul

Showtime has hinted for months that they want Broner-Garcia. I like it. It's no Brook-Spence or anything, but it's a good fight.

will be no fairness going on, they gonna play games with mikey too. they gonna say 142 then boom fight week move it to 146 basically dragging mikey up another weight class. at least thats the way i see it playing out. That's certainly not farfetched. I would hope they would negotiate a huge penalty for missing the weight

Stupid career ruining fight by Mikey, just stay and unify at 135. Weight jumping to try and become the next superstar is ruining a lot of careers. I bet Broner wishes he never left 135 so soon.

That's what i was wondering, he said after the Granados fight he could even make 135 but thats hard to believe, maybe it would be a catchweight. Yeah he said that and then proceeded to change the weight on fight week lol. 142 would be a fair catch weight, I think

Great fight if it happens. I favor Mikey Garcia by UD. If he wins that at 140 it would be interesting to see if he shows any interest in Crawford.
