I think most people understand Pac is half-retired and not looking for anything besides easy paydays. I know I don't particularly care for that reason. I'd rather see Crawford fight the Haymon welterweights.
While I can respect your personal choice, we know how difficult those fights will be to make. We also know that as The WBO jww champ, Crawford can fight the WBO ww champ with no issue.
More importantly, HBO is undercutting Crawford's earning potential by suggesting he fight men who draw less. Any of these fights would be split network ppv's with men having never been on ppv. This after they made him go to ppv for the Postol fight which drew maybe 69k purchases.
It's the tradition of the sport that a young fighter takes out an old one and assumes the throne. Maybe Crawford beats Manny, maybe not. But at least he should get a chance.
Bojangles it's wrong that HBO is holding him back like this. Again, I respect your opinion but how is it fair that his network wants him to unify the jww titles in a smaller fight instead of pushing for him to get a big ppv fight which is very winnable and would elevate his profile significantly.
And the problem is? Funny how any time Spence is mentioned Crawford goes silent or begins to stutter. Too much risk. If he wants Pac no problem. Move up to 147 and accept an offer of what you are worth.
Would you agree that it's better if Crawford beats and young lion at 147 over an old pacman at 147?
wasn't there a thread where crawford said that he and his team never called manny and that mannay deserves to fight whomever he wants?
Good memory. Yes there was
In the post fight talk, Roy said Thurman was the best ww and max said Spence was the special guy at 147. Why are they downplaying and avoiding a Crawford/Manny fight?
Espn, nsb and a number of publications/sites have Manny as the top ww. Yet they act like he doesn't exist. Very strange to see. They never do this. Why now?
Why would they downplay a big ppv fight for a guy they have signed? they could have everything to themselves but instead push for cross network fights that always prove difficult to put together.
Roy saying Manny shouldn't fight him unless the money is right would usually make posters irate. Crawford is very high risk for Manny and it's a shame hbo is not pushing for him to get the fight knowing it will help his exposure if he wins. He

LOL, knew I'd be seeing a few of these this morning. :boxing:

They should just go ahead and make this fight. I'm sure Top Rank is worried because either way they lose out on money from the loser, but they don't really have anything big for either guy besides each other.
You just called Yuriorkis Gamboa, Victor Postol, Felix Diaz, Thomas Dulorme, Hank Lundy, Ray Beltran and Andrey Klimov journeymen.
Certainly not A-level opposition, but journeyman are they not.
Freddie Roach is on record saying that Manny would be more dangerous at 140. He wants the Crawford fight and he feels that he can sell a Mayweather rematch if he can get Manny to beat Crawford.
Manny is on record saying he doesn't want to go down.
What's that tell you? It tells you he doesn't want to fight the one fighter who could likely embarrass him worse than TBE, and is asking for ridiculous amounts of money to ensure the fight doesn't happen.
Blaming Crawford who's shown up in all but one fight instead of blaming Manny for ducking is a joke.
Loved you in the movie bro.
You can't duck someone who never spoke to your camp about a fight. Crawford admits he never talked to Pac's camp for a fight. If Crawford wants the fight he needs to move up to 147. Pac is the A side he doesn't need to chase anyone. Same way Floyd gers a pass from his fans for fighting Berto instead of Thurman, Brook, Spence, Garcia. Now he is fighting a guy who isn't even boxer. Talk about ducking.
Meanwhile Crawford has no leverage for making demands. His one and only PPV flopped horribly.
Indongo and then Manny and TC will beat Manny pretty easy.
I don't mind seeing Manny fight either TC Thurman Spence Brook Porter, they all doable I guess Horn is a better option.
Horn is certianly more competetive than McGregor and just as competetive as Indongo. Garbage fight but still no worse than Molina or Berto.
I like how the haters have no issue with PAc fighting a "smaller" guy coming up when it is Crawford but are outraged when it is Mikey Garcia who has been calling out Manny for two years.
Crawford can move up to 147 but chooses to drain down to beat on smaller journeymen at 140. Get up and fight a young lion at 147 like Turman, Sence, Garcia. Go through a few battles.
LOL, knew I'd be seeing a few of these this morning. :boxing:
anyone thinks TC does to pac what pac did to cotto :lol1:
Very possible. Manny's speed could keep him in the fight but Crawford looks awefully good. Don't know how Manny's legs would last against this guy. Pacquiao should avoid Crawford at this point in his career.

The fight is gonna happen, Arum is itching to be back in a huge PPV event. Manny needs to do his part next doe to convince (the GGG fans) casuals/former fans he still has it.
This is a fight that Pac doesn't need. All he needs to do is secure enough money so he can retire. Fighting Bud at this point is both meaningless and pointless. If I was managing Pac my main objective is to keep him winning and healthy that's all because he has nothing left to prove.
You sound stupid. Why would he call out Floyd knowing there's a 1% chance the fight could happen when he can fight Pacquiao, his stablemate. Same promoter. Same network. Easiest fight to get made. No excuses
wow I really went over your head. I'm sorry you're so dumb.
Crawford is a fantastic fighter, and he called Manny's name because of the way the question was posed, the only other guy he could've called out as a "big fight" would be Floyd, but Floyd's not interested in fighting boxers. I like the way Crawford went on to answer that question, a guy in his prime should be willing to fight anyone. And I think Crawford knows Manny's at a different stage of his career. I'd hate to bite my tongue so I won't say the fight won't happen, I just doubt it.
Ultimately, I think Top Rank is going to maneuver Crawford well.
IMO..Thurman is a better matchup for Pac than Crawford... Roach knows it too... however, Arum would rather matchup Bud and Pac and keep it in house.
But let's get it straight... Crawford will fight that indongo (or whatever his name is).. and unify..then he'll move up.
Crawford destroyed Diaz... lol I thought it'd be competitive but nope, that was one sided.
