You can't recognize Mayweather and Pacquiao's talent at the same time. You can't like Brook and Spence or Canelo and Golovkin at the same time. It's like an unwritten rule here. A lot of fans falling into that trap
That **** is retarded. The way they get sensitive over all these fighters who gets hit in the head too much, you'd think they know all these boxers on a personal level. Plus discussing their purses and who's the A side, that's probably the dumbest **** ever, you ain't making none of that anyway. If Spence/Brook/Canelo/Golovkin are bums, don't give your fighter any credit for beating them.
Mayweather is one of my favorite fighters EVER, that doesn't mean I hate on Pacquiao or that I don't appreciate his talent
Brook and Spence, I like them both, they got hell of a potential
Getting tired of all these Canelo/Golovkin threads. When the fight was announced I was thinking oh **** now all these NSB debates won't stop. You're so confident in predicting the outcome - if boxing was predictable like that it wouldn't be interesting
1. That is retarded to hate on a fighter because of the few trolls posting on here seeking to incite a reacton.
2. To correct you, GGG turned pro at 26? and is currently 35. Unfortunately for him, he had a ****ty promotions team/managers he signed with that wouldn't give him the fights he wanted. You can't blame the guy. He didn't have the privilege of being born in the U.S. and having easier access to create a good fanbase as well as a promotional team.
3. Lomachenko is only compared to them, not being touted as being greater. We all know he has a long way to go. They're being compared on how they fight, and where they were early on in their career compared to where he is. Why would you ever consider record to be important? Being 20-0 doesn't usually mean ****. What matters is the quality of your opposition. Most of Floyd's and Pacquiaos early wins were against irrelevant opponents. Meanwhile, in 9 fights Lomachenko is already a 2 division champion and defeated Walters and GRjr (as well as decent fighters like Sosa and Martinez). But regardles, it's only meant to recognize that Lomachenko really seems to be the next big, great talent.
Loma has 9 fights, but is way ahead of most fighters with only 9 fights, that's why if he gets to 20-1 it will likely come with several more very big wins so he'll deserve the hype then. Dude has 9 fights, 1 of which he lost. A few of those are really good wins. Basically he stayed an amateur and skipped the 15-20 opponents that most fighters usually get before they start fighting top guys. So Loma is ahead of the game in that respect. Loma also passes the eye test with flying colors, he looks like a rare talent.
With GGG, it's not a few fans, it's the whole hype that has been built up around him. Probably the most hyped fighter with so few noteworthy wins since Joe C before he fought Lacey. GGG also passes the eye test though too, he obviously is a very skilled boxer and ore than just a KO artist. I think it sucks that he was hidden for so long, who knows what kind of legacy he could have built.
Manny and Floyd fought champions over and over again. The bar they set is very high, so high in fact that you're not going to be able to reach it if you don't start fighting big fights early in your career.
I think this is what excites people about Canelo too. Canelo was so active as a young fighter that he had an impressive record at 20, then he started to fight some bigger fights and now at the young age of 26 he has over 50 fights with only 1 loss and has fought about 10 good to great fighters. Canelo's career has the highest ceiling of anyone right now because he challenged himself so young. He could easily fight 25 more times in his career and end up with an incredible resume.
One thing I am pretty sure of, GGG and Canelo will fight 2 or 3 times.

I think it's annoying when people complain about fans taking a side in big fights. It's very self explanatory.
It's the fans, announcers, and promoters people hate.
GGG for instance is a really exciting boxer to watch. He's the type of fighter most people love. I really want to be a fan of his, but his unrealistic fans make it hard. They can't let him be what he is, they have to try to elevate him to All Time status before he's beaten anyone good. And the HBO slappies deserve some of the blame too, but I guess they are just trying to sell one of their fighters. GGG's promoters share a lot of the blame for the fact that he is 33 and is just now starting to fight quality opposition. I'll tell you this, if GGG had been fighting good fighters starting when he was 25 he would be almost universally liked, he'd probably have a loss or two by now, but he'd be considered a warrior who was an exciting KO artist.
Loma is the same thing, this guy has 9 total pro fights and people are comparing him to Pacquaio and Mayweather. Let him earn that over the next few years, if he stays active he won't need a ton of years as he's started out fighting top guys even though he waited to turn pro. Loma gets to 20-0 and he'll deserve to be compared to Manny and Floyd, not before then.
Heck, some people don't like Crawford, not sure what that's about.
Also don't understand the Ward hate.

This site needs to generate enough traffic to get it going.. the obvious trolls make 20 different threads everyday and people post knowing that it's a troll thread too..

It's all about nationality and race here. Thankfully I come from a country that rarely has good boxers (and I'm now living in Japan) so I don't give a sh*t.
Troll Cops handle the law enforcement. You have been given your 2nd citation for posting like a fanboy. The fee is 1,000,000 bank points for bond you're a whacko. have you started your first of 30 troll threads a day yet?
I like both too, but when I debate, I reason with my own understanding of both fighters level against other opinions. That's kinda why we're here, to get perspectives.
Green K TS, well said and valid points. I really get frustrated when I see this shit on here. You are basically forced to pick sides or you get categorise in to different sections. I like someone to win but I might not pick that person to win due to a numbers of reasons. Doesn't mean I don't like that boxer and it doesn't mean am rooting for his failure etc I don't pick based on where they are from, colour, nationality etc I just pick based on my opinion sometimes, I can get sway to picking a boxer when watching and listening to other boxers that has been in there with them before etc but I have never picked a boxer based on some emotional connection.
Some poster assumed I've picked Klichko to school Joshua just because I've said Kovalev has better resume than AJ at this point.
I was like Where's the logic? How did you even get to that conclusion?
That's how retarded it is
Discussing purses isn't sports
I don't remember the same reaction before Klichko and Joshua fight and I wonder why
I legit have no clue what you're on about but rivalries are a huge part of sports.

With any sport, discussions range from micro to macro.
If all you choose to discuss is the in ring action, that's cool. Some of us also like to discuss the macro factors that directly affect what we see in the ring.
In other sports I discuss finances and other subjects outside the playing field are often the topic of discussion.
It's sports dude..

if Al Bernstein had always picked Floyd to beat Pacman does that mean he is a Pac hater?
Al Bernstein wasn't making 230453290 NSB threads about Floyd/Pac every day. Al Bernstein wasn't talking **** about fighters. I've picked Floyd to beat Pac too, but I don't give a **** about the fight that happened 2 years ago
