Hey, I am a fan of Canelo. I think he will win in September. I am also a fan of Lil g, tho I am hard on him cuz I think he has wasted a large chunk of his career playing it a little too safe. I am a boxing fan first, however. That means I gotta call it like I see it. And that is my honest assessment. I like Canelo to win, but it will look a lot like the Brook fight if he cannot make Lil g respect him and/or can't deal with Golovkin's power. None of that was answered last night. These odds are spot on and will get narrower. I said a year ago that 5-1 odds were junk. Golovkin will open as favorite but will end up a slight underdog come fight night. This is a gonna be an amazing fight, perhaps fight of the decade.

He bullyed Chavez and make him his *****,I was saying that GGG cant bully him,imo nobody will get Bullyed,it will be boxing match ,full 12 rounds Chavez is a nobody but in boxing, when we speak of bullying, it normally means one fighter pushing and shoving another guy around the ring. That didn't happen, it was a pretty clean fight. So that's what I mean when I say he isnt that type of fighter, then again neither is GGG and you're right, I think it will be a pretty clean boxing match. GGG is the superior boxer.

I kinda agree here. Folks are making a lot of assumptions that dont make sense, extrapolating things from the Jacobs fight that can't or won't apply when Lil g and Canelo do it. If, for example, Canelo had stopped Jr. or had him down or even seriously hurt Jr we'd know Saul had enough power to make Lil g respect him. As it is, we don't know if Jr respected Canelo's power or simply entered the ring too drained to even contemplate going to war. If we saw Jr. catch Canelo with some great shots and then see Saul walk thru them or take them well, we might have more of an idea how Canelo will take Lil g's shots. None of that happened. And those factors happen to be the most important aspects of the match-up. If Canelo can't make Lil g respect him, it won't matter how ordinary Lil g's skill level might be. If Canelo can't take Lil g's power, it won't matter how good a boxer and counterpuncher Canelo is. And none of that has changed in a year. All we do know is that a fighter with skill, a decent chin, power, and movement can beat Lil g. Jacobs gave us that blueprint. But, while we know Canelo has skill, it is unclear where he is at as far as the other three factors when it comes to middleweight. wow brother.. what a beautiful explanation..

I remember just a year ago when this fight was rumoured GGG was -500. Basically Kell Brook had better odds to beat GGG. 1 Danny Jacobs fight and it's practically an even fight. if you analyze the details, nothing has changed. Jacobs is a better fighter than Canelo at 160. Jacobs is bigger, faster and way more powerful. lmao and Chavez was dead at that weight. Golovkin faced his first prime, legit, middleweight with the confidence to fight back ... and he barely edged the fight (taking such punishment that he scrapped the big expo showdown that he's been promoting for the last two years). Alvarez fights different but, again, Golovkin is stepping in with his second legit middleweight with the confidence to fight back, and the bookies aren't looking to risk their asses again. 2:1 is about where the fight should be, tbh

That's excellent value for a bet on Golovkin. When the odds were wider I was uncomfortable with betting on GGG.

This is why I continuously call you a hypocrite. GGG beat Jacob's as convincingly as Ward best Kovalev. Yet this reality seems to go over your head. GGG should be the slight favorite. Both fights: one fighter knocked down once, never again. Both fights: The A-side is getting outboxed in the middle rounds. Both fights: the A-side is fighting tentative and not pushing the action.
