Who would you like to see Anthony Joshua fight next so many names; Deontay Wilder, Joseph Parker, TYSON FURY, Artur Beterbiev, Shannon the cannon Briggs?/:boxing::boxing::boxing:
I've never understood that logic. If you can end on a win & as champion, fair play to you, but its not gonna happen very often + why beat up on some lesser opponent for your last go around. Even that can turn out awful as Bhop will tell you.
Very true. Still, in my mind, for a guy with the type of career that Wladimir has had, it'd be a fitting end to his career, to close things out with a massive event in his native Ukraine, win or lose (Wladimir showed enough in this last fight to give me the impression that he's still got a couple of good performances left in him).
I tend to agree, but he deserves, regardless of a contract, a rematch if he wants it based on his effort.
Wlad would've drowned Joshua if he went to the body.
But AJ will only be better in the rematch, he'd stop Wlad quicker.
Why you say that? You don't think he'd just retire?
Ending the career on an L isn't something that will sit well with most guys, especially the maniacal type-A types who get to the reaches in their craft that Klitschko has.
Step in with a respectable guy (Christian Hammer , or Andriy Rudenko would both work) , win a final fight, and walk off with the family.
Can't just end things on a loss; this isn't a Rocky movie
Ortiz might get Joshua if they fought next. Joshua is still green which makes what he has done so far pretty impressive. Ortiz is a legit threat but he is on the old side. It's a toss up really
Joseph Parker should fight Wilder Unify belts, Anthony Joshua takes tyson fury, Wilder vs Joshua, Winner vs Ortiz? Who do you think should fight.
Outside the contractual issue I think if Klitschko wants the rematch he for sure deserves a rematch. Personally I hope he retires cuz this would be a extremely solid effort to end your career on.
So what I'm hoping for is more of a keep busy fight for Joshua next time out. This is one of those few times I'll actually say a guy deserves some random mandatory fight or voluntary or whatever. I'm rooting on Wilder vs Parker later this year & maybe we can have one champ by the end of the year or early next year. And then around that point hopefully Fury will have his sh^t together & whoever is The Champion can fight Fury at that point.
Probably too much to hope for, but that's what I'd like to see.
If Klitschko were to retire, he'd likely close out his career at Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Ukraine.
Hopefully he chooses to go out that way.
Totally forgot about Ortiz! how do you think Ortiz vs Joshua will go?

Wilder hands down, Fury is a flake. Who knows if he ever comes back.
Wilder and Joshua are the kings of this whole deal right now.
They are Mayweather and Pacquiao material.
Fury will always be around the scene and he's great entertainment and who knows? He has this craziness that can give him an edge but can be his downfall too.
But he can take punishment and he can last the distance and control the pace of a fight,
But he's kinda boring in the ring!
I know nothign of Parker other than he holds a belt.
And they're three great characters in the future of the heavyweight mix.
Names like Ortiz, Pulev, Povetkin, Haye are getting OLD. They deserve a certain respect but their era is over and these young guns will truly end it.
Other than that theres the mandatories out there.
Beterbiev?? Did you mean Usyk, because he's supposedly moving up.
How do you think Usyk does at HW?
I think he's talented but wonder if he's just a bit undersized for todays HW scene. 15-20 years ago he would have been a good sized HW probably but now it's different.

Wlad would only decline in the rematch while AJ would be better. It would be a dream if all the belts could be unified though.

I think it can happen.
