He hasnt won since 2014 has 13 losses and is 36..has no title and is nowhere close to p4p.....yet the same posters who still hold him in high strandards slam Mosley,Ortiz,Guerrero,Maidana and say Manny was over the hill and sh1t on Berto..HOW THE FVCK DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE??? Loma is a damn good fighter but rematching this guy is literally fighting a over the hill loser..out of 50 fights he has 13 losses and 4 damn draws and has been knocked out 5 damn times
Well in Salido's defense, he should of got the decision in his past 2 fights which he was awarded a draw. His last fight he beat up Vargas and arguably ruined him along with Miura.
You bring up the 13 losses. 8 of those were when he was 21 or younger. A few of them before he was a legal adult. He didn't have amateur experience or some high profile promoter protecting him. He worked his way up the hard way and has beaten some good fighters and hung in there with some great fighters. Salido is a very good fighter.

Someone actually posted Salido's record and how it evolved from his early career when he was the textbook definition of a journeyman. Like you posted later in this thread though. You have to take his career in context. The guy by his own admission never really took boxing seriously until after the Marquez fight.
As to the rematch. Legacy wise it is huge. Avenging losses is a big deal when a fighters career gets evaluated. If Robinson does'nt avenge his losses to Lamotta, Turpin, Basilio and Fulmer, is he considered the best today? I seriously doubt it. Does Roy's legacy take a hit if he does'nt avenge his L to Griffin? I believe it does. People remember if you avenged a loss, most could give a **** less if the guy was past his prime when you did it.
In reality it will mean little, obviously, but for Lomachenko it just looks good on paper to have avenged the L.
Nothing more.
Crazy talk... avenging your only lost is Important especially if your trying to be p4p #1, you never know salido might end up been that thorn kind of like what Marquez is to Pacquiao.

So like..... he compared him to Berto :alcoholic thats what it has to to do with TS' post lol
Whoops :lol1:

Ok and? What does Berto have to do with the TS' post.

he just fought the #2 and #5 guys and most people had him winning both but instead he got draws. he also beat loma who is now #1. now that bill o reilly got fired maybe you can take over for him in the (no) spin room
Maybe becuz the Mexican Golem is tougher than anyone in boxing and was beating up guys while getting shafted by his own promoter and judges while being an uber driver on the side and still taking on tough fighter after another!!
I think your a huge huge massive Floyd Mayweather fan so understand one man makes enough money where all he has to.worry about is training for his skills to stay sharp and gameplan, while the other has to fight to bring food on the table for his own!
While still giving fans fights we can show folks who don't even watch boxing and say, "got damn that motherfu€king can scrap,....whats his name??"
Big fan of Salido we need more of his ilk today, too many businessmen and part time boxers!
lol why do you guys keep comparing a 26 yr olds second pro fight vs a teenagers.. If floyd stayed amateur til he was 26 he would have won a title early too
its really sad....
Floyd's 11th opponent had 18 losses, 24th had 16 losses. I am confident that Two fights from now Loma's opponent won't have as many losses and by his 24th fight his opponent won't have 16 losses. Floyd's 9th opponent was 1-14-1, LOL
Loma is 29..In Floyds 24th fight he was 23..CONTEXT SON..CONTEXT..LOL

Salidos last win was vs a guy named terdsak. Loma fans just want to stop being trolled by Mexicans lol. Saying got salido problems and calling him his daddy
Good post.
I got Salido over Berto
Loma will always have that on his record, n it will be a fun fight
Loma will eventually move on, but he can avenge his loss why not
Ok and? What does Berto have to do with the TS' post.
Real boxing fan's appreciate a throw back fighter like salido, who has limited skills but is extremely tough, has more heart than anyone and more importantly fights EVERYONE
You arnt a real boxing fan though, time for another mayweather thread isnt it?
Yes im sure real boxing fans appreciate cheats and dirty boxers. Oh how sad it is to not be a real boxing fan
Who holds him in high standards? If anything people call him a bum because he has double digit losses and drives an uber part time.
The reality is somewhere in the middle. He's a solid veteran, journeyman fighter who was a former two division world champion and has faced the best fighters of his generation. That's it.
