If you had a multi bet on with these fights who you picking:
Wlad vs Joshua
Canelo vs Chavez
Brook vs Spence
Kovalev vs Ward
I'd pick Joshua, Canelo, Brook, Ward & I wouldn't be confident at all about it, some close match ups.
Also, how much money would you be willing to risk on your bet (hypothetically).
For the record I'm not saying Brook isn't one of the best in the division. I definitely think he is.
147 is a lil bit of a clusterf#ck at the tip top so its hard to say Brook, Thurman or Manny is the #1 guy currently, but I definitely think there is an argument for each of those guys being the #1 guy right now so Brook is no worse then the 3rd best guy at 147 for me.
Yeah that's how I see it. I gotta rank Thurman as #1 though, since he beat Garcia & Porter, he earned that recognition, but if he can beat Brook, I don't know. So we basicly agree, even though it's impossible to know who's for sure the best in 147.
Just a feeling. When I saw Mayweather as a local amateur I said oh sh^t this kid is going places. When I've seen various other cats in their pro debuts or early in their career they just had that extra lil something. Spence gives me that feeling too.
Hardly means much in a head to head match up that feeling, but those types of guys tend to win on the way up far more often then they don't + like I said I think Brook is coming into this situation less than ideal on top of that. The guy gots metal in his face cuz of his last fight. He went up two divisions only to go back down two divisions which never sounds like a good move. That puts some serious question marks on us even seeing the best Brook next month in my eyes. Plus I think Brook is overrated by cats in the UK making this line closer than it probably should be as is sometimes the case I've noticed as a frequent bettor with betting & boxing both being pretty popular in the UK & as I've taken advantage of in the past.
Nice input!
I feel far from confident on who to bet on this fight. The intel will be in the pudding afterwards - That's where we disagree, I believe Brook is one of the best in the division, if that will be enough to beat someone, that the world has deemed the next big thing, I really don't know. Intruiging match no doubt about it - appreciate the perspective on the timing for Brook too - There might be something there that could really affect him in the fight.

thats my pick
I feel more confident about Canelo & Spence then the other two fights. Although I do feel pretty confident about them to.
In a parlay I might play around with boxing my bet like in horse racing to ensure a W, but just making a straight bet on the favs here 3x's your money so that isn't a bad outcome for guys I'm all fairly confident will win cuz the fights look solidly towards the fav in every case to me.
AJ is on the rise, can punch & Klitschko is old, didn't look good last time out & has been out awhile now.
Canelo is looking great vs bs opponents & JCC Jr is still a bs opponent who's not taken his career as seriously as anyone since Butterbean maybe & gotten as big as he's gotten.
Spence has been looking the part of the next big thing for a minute & Brook is coming off of an assbeating where he needed to get steel implanted into his face & is making the often bad move of gaining weight only to lose it immediately afterwards. And its not the typical one division, he did a two division jump up, jump back down.
Ward already beat Kovalev once, history says usually the same guy wins the rematch only easier.
So all in all the guys who are the fav here should be the favs & while its not always easy to expect 4 fights to go like you'd expect them to go I like these favs quite a bit despite the relatively close lines in 3 of the 4 fights.
How come you think Errol Spence is the real deal? I mean, I've seen a couple of his fights and he seems legit, but we know that Brook is legit. Where do the confidence in him come from?
Joshua, Chavez, brook, kovalev and I'd probably throw a 50 on it for a nice payday
I'm not that confident on most of these fights, Canelo seems the safest of the bunch, the others are a bit closer.
Took the words outta my mouth mate, I've got:
Josh vs Wlad as 60/40
Canelo vs chavez 70/30 (but a sneaking suspicion Chavez could do it)
Brook vs Spence is a legit 50/50
Ward Vs Kov is a 50/50 but I feel like Ward will get the W even if it's close.
Yeah bout right, but even then assigning even an approximate winning chance to each fight is a dicey affair cos in each case there's a lotta uncertainties
Is Joshua packing glass? Is Klitschko shot and/or rusty?
Will Jr be drained?
Can Spence handle the jump in levels / Will Brook be drained or eye damaged?
Judges? Which way will they jump?
Same as you m8 - and also with minimal confidence. I probably wouldn't even throw a tenner at it to be honest cos the probability of getting all four right is very slim and the rewards ain't great either.
