The dude started boxing at 19 and right now he looks incredibly slick for a new kid on the block. Either that or his trainer puts him through a death gauntlet every time he has a fight.
His eyes are his weapon. Davis'll be hypnotized and knocked out. But in all honestly he is great against hard punchers see his fight against Redkach.
yeah ive seen his fights but maybe his eye game wasnt on point back then
man he seemed ok in that vid and I'd root for him against Davis (who seems like a class A dickhead, which is sad cos I enjoyed his performance last time) but let's be real here, if Farmer is a prodigy than I'm the President of the whole damn world

10 times out of 10, your KO's go down. It starts a little inflated due to opposition, then better opposition take your punches better. But the guy has 5 KO's, it's not going to get any better from here on out. If he can't KO F-level fighters he's gonna have to Malignaggi his way through fights and that's harder than it looks. And Malignaggi in his prime had one hell of a chin to go with his lack of power, as we saw in the Cotto and Hatton fights how he took their punches.
You better shut your mouth. Go ahead and stare into his crossed eyes and get crossed up on the court.

so is this the new guy you're all going to hype up? we already had jrock and someone else over the last few months, should I add this bum to the list?

When he fought Pedraza he was 22 years old. He'd only been boxing for 3 years. He's gotten surprisingly good since his last loss.
Maybe he has, but he's also been knocked out twice and can't punch. He can get better and better technically, but we all know chins don't get better and you don't become more powerful. He can get defensively better and improve on scoring points and being elusive but those 5 KO's looks very alarming. When he faces someone who will keep in mind that he can't punch and show no respect towards his power and just time him he will get KO'ed. Of course none of these guys he's been fighting have the ability to do that. A guy like Salido though, idk, he could rough him up and pummel him to the body, slow him down, and then he'll have nothing.
Triangle theories don't work, we all know that by now, but it's kinda backwards for some people to say Davis is not ready for Farmer when Farmer was KO'ed by light punching Pedraza and Davis destroyed him. It just looks like a backwards thing to say. But idk, boxing opinions just get weirder and weirder when it comes to fantasy/future matches.
I can honestly say I am not very familiar with Farmer. I've watched some stuff here and there but I haven't actually studied him to say for sure. People always talk good of him though. However, the stoppages are worrisome.
I've never seen him fight aside from one highlight video, but i've seen some people hyping him up a little, saying things like Gervonta Davis isn't ready for him or something like that. What fight should I be looking at that shows he's so great? I think maybe some guys are overrating him a little bit maybe? 5 KO's in 29 fights? He moves well, but I think we should wait until he steps up again because the last good fighter he faced he lost by stoppage.

I'm always first to state how power is overrated.
But his skills can only get him so far, the kid has Malignaggi power.
I think he has the potential to make Tank look bad for a few rounds but eventually Tank will walk through him.
Give him some time to develop. He's not gonna be top 10 but he'll get far.
Interesting how people think so highly of him. I don't see it but then maybe i'll be wrong. Looks like when he faces someone who time him he's going to be in trouble.

I wouldn't call Tevin a prodigy. Unless he becomes one of the topten boxers off all time like Tim is at basketball.

Haha reminds me of Dmitry Pirog. Was going to his chess tournament and walked into a boxing gym by mistake.

Tim Duncan never touched a basketball until he was 15 and that was only because the pool was closed that day (was a swimmer.)
