I bet if this was Danny Garcia looking for another cherrypick , Haymon would get either Rios, or Ortiz paid 500k to be Garcia's next cherrypick. But they wouldn't pay Rios and Ortiz each that much, despite it being a 50/50 fight, and with a storyline that makes for extra drama.yup no doubt it. we know how hymie gets down. all about serving up them cherries.

when was the last time that Victor Ortiz was in a boxing gym all the experts on here said it was going to happen. well what happened? it was a good old fashioned grudge match should have been easy enough to make. did pbc screw up again? I was looking forward to these two punching bags go at it. The matchup is a grudge match (which would mean alot for folks with rooting interests in the fight), but a win doesn't really do anything to advance either guy. You add that both guys are going to want to get paid for the fight (Rios got $800k on his last fight, while Victor Ortiz got $750k), and it seems like everything is down to finding a place to put the event. Hopefully both guys stay in the gym; that way, when PBC brings another big show to California (thinking one of the ESPN dates), Haymon/TGB will have a name fight to top one of those bills with. With Brandon Rios now apparently being an option for a June date with Miguel Cotto, the calculus changes a bit
