Right now I feel like Katie Taylor is not gaining enough media attention than she really deserves even after everything she's accomplished. She's won numerous tournaments, championships and even a gold medal at the Olympics. But what if Katie Taylor had that "sex appeal". She could've brought new life to women's boxing the same way Ronda Rousey made people even care about women's MMA.
She would be on the cover of magazines, doing photo shoots, headlining her own fights, major brands would be fighting over her.

People are gonna say it's because nobody cares about women's boxing. Nobody cared about women's MMA before Ronday Rousey came along. Also I'm not saying Katie Taylor is ugly or anything like that but I also wouldn't do a double take if she walked pass me on the street.
Am I right or wrong?
Rhonda is downright scary without makeup. Not in a good way.
Female boxing is meh.
*AHEM*

Yea probably right TS. I mean Ronda isn't super hot or anything, but she's f#ckable. Although to be fair you can be ugly & draw in MMA cuz Cyborg has a fanbase. So I suspect she'd be more popular if she was sexy, but the thing is woman's boxing doesn't draw well in most areas & its just not as exciting as mens boxing to watch with all the decisions + the lack of enough elite level talent in any division to have a competitive landscape.
Well many MMA fans just like killers who have a seek and destroy attitude in the ring. Cyborg and Rousey check all the right boxes in that regard. Their hotness or whatever you want to call it are'nt really relevant. Gina Carano was smoking hot, but fans did'nt really give a **** about her after Cyborg destroyed her. So looks does'nt really seem to matter, to MMA fans at least.
As for women boxers, I agree with you. Get one that knocks mother****ers out on the regular, and you can build a star, even if its against subpar talent. You have to give people excitement and why would most boxing fans tune in to a womens fight when they can watch two dudes do it better and their be a real threat of someone going to sleep.

There is your answer right there. Rhonda rousey is ugly as fuk and still got attention out the ass. Womens boxing isnt as big as women's MMA.
All Katie Taylor needs is some big feminist phaggot group to start backing her. I mean chit, amy schumer is famous and shes a fat sea cow.
Holly Holm is pretty but not like crazy pretty and she gained popularity as soon as she crossed over to UFC and gained some wins and went undefeated.
It's the sport.
Katie Taylor is an attractive young girl imo. But she won't get that much attention because women's boxing sucks.
If she goes to UFC she would be popular. It's a more female-friendly sport than boxing. Promoters still haven't gotten around to pushing female boxers by putting them on televised undercards of big fights, in UFC women have already co-headlined and headlined PPV's.
NO! I don't think how you look matters in Women Boxing ESPECIALLY if you can score KO's. I think Anne Wolfe would've been a bigger star in THIS ERA of Internet and Social Media compared to ERA post Laila Ali and Christy Martin leaving her win NO Competition
Katie Taylor is ridiculously popular in Ireland already, more so than any male boxer
Of course being attractive would be a bonus to anyone in the public eye
