I'm a super fan.
September 11 killed his career. Nothing else. He was too flashy of a Muslim for the American audience to swallow after that tragic day. A damn shame he was fantastic.
I distinctly recall his boxing appearances essentially stopping on American tv after that day. Thereafter he was shunned to foreign tv and thus he career dwindled. Smh
I wouldn't say I was a fan but I respected his game and tuned in to his fights
I think he gots some super powers after his mama put a voodoo curse on his ass. He always be doing something cray cray
I loved the guy and loved the anticipation, ring walk (or when he was carried in like an egyption prince), excitement to the till watching his fights. Crippling power, awkward angles, and sheer confidence combined with the southpaw style. Very few fighters today, if that, bring that kind of excitement.

Every year I go through all his 35 fights (I never watch the Barrera and Calvo fight - that wasn't Naz) three or 4 times. Sheer entertainment. To this day there's never been a fighter with as many entertaining fights, every fight from his pro debut to his 35th is a joy to watch. They never get boring. Don't care what the haters say, there's nothing like a Naz fight...one of my favourite fighters of all time.
Which boxing fan can't be fan of Hamed? Great boxer and highly entertaining.
Yes... Prince Naseem is a "legend"... and he quit the sport when only 28 of age...
Yeah I was a fan when he still fought,Naz was a beast. People always focus on the Barrera but lets not forget that he was having real issues with his hand (needed injections) which effected him greatly. It also didn't help that he was an idiot who didnt train properly leading up to the Barrera fight.
He could have beaten Barrera if he remained disciplined and without injury, still a great fighter though.
By the sounds of things he barely trained for ithe barrera fight and was absolutely huge, the weight cut killed him by the sounds of ot. Barerra also did a good job too, nothing taken away from him.
Naseem lacked focus and built himself on God given skills. Loved watching him, but he fell in love with himself and it cost him. MAB may have always had the style to beat him, but I think Hamed had the talent to have given a better effort. No matter, he was one of the most gifted fighter of the last 25 years.
I didn't think Barrera had a chance too, i thought Barrera was just a brawler. But he gave Naz the ultimate respect by not brawling him, he boxes him, tied/wrestle him up when Naz gets closer and just counter him. Naz was by then done, more into his celebrity status, more into his power and that was his downfall.
