now a 100% rope a dope you gonna tax em back, every body attempt countered with a uppercut and lemule done by round 8th
Who has Canelo fought/beat at 160 to make you believe he could hang with lemeuix??
OOO wait....
This is a fight I definitely want to see. The smooth technical skill of Canelo against the brash power of Lemieux would be a good showcase for both guys.
I've been a huge Lemieux fan and I'm glad he's getting some mainstream attention recognition after that knockout.
Headshots: that is a good assessment I believe Canelo is similar to Broner, and also that he has had success due to being bigger than his opponents. Like Broner, Canelo is also going to be underpowered in his natural weight class. I do not believe Canelo has one punch power at middleweight.
I think that a Canelo Lemiuex fight would be very entertaining and a real risk for Canelo.
You betting on jacobs?
lol nah.
but i did bet on bellew and dominic brazeale. those were live dogs.
i think Jacobs has to catch GGG early. cus he doesn't have a gas tank.
lol @ all these cats trying to talk to me about betting. i'm a real life bookmaker. i make money gambling on fights.
there's a reason i never give picks here.
i've been welched on enough times online. that **** is for the birds. post your winning slips. i bet thousands every weekend.

To any boxing expert or true boxing fan, it is very obvious Lemule is a serious threat to Canelo. Regardless of what people think about the GGG/Canelo situation, the fact that Canelo went for the easiest titleholder in Liam Smith and now a highly underachieving Chavez Junior tells me there is no way Canelo is going to face a guy in Lemule who is MUCH faster and hits MUCH harder than either Smith or Chavez Jr. Canelo fights those type guys for a reason.
correct.
any critical thinking boxing analyst should be able to tell that Canelo's style is identical to Broner's. both Mayweather wannabes that don't have footspeed.
this style does not do well against power-punching swarmers of the same size or bigger.

Curtis Stevens is a better comparison to Canelo than Lemiuex to that old ass shop worn Angulo lol
Curtis is just as big as Canelo. Curtis is faster than Canelo. Curtis is a harder puncher than Canelo. legit KO power at MW and above which Canelo has never demonstrated.
So yeah. What does Canelo do well again? OH RIGHT some Broner skills that would easily get smothered by a man with size a chin.
I'm afraid I'm too tired to give a fvck about your 'based on triangle theories' opinions on a sport that triangle theories don't work in. So let's agree to disagree.
If the fight ever gets made I'll hit you up with a real money bet. Have a good one.
Liam Smith was teeing off on Canelo against the ropes during Canelo's rest periods.
Now imagine that was a legit 180 lber Lemule. He would keel Canelo over.
The rest may have been to having to make 154. We have no idea how fighting at 160 will affect Canelo. It may increase his stamina. Who knows?
And you can't compare Canelo to Stevens which is what you're doing right now.
Again, the KO was impressive but it was Curtis Stevens he stopped...
Broner emulates Floyd because of the whole 'imma take over boxing once the big bro retires' bs thing he used to have going on... The only fight he lost so far was to a guy who's a better boxer than him. And, as much as Iike him, Lemieux isn't that.
This is why (to me) Golovkin is the favourite against Canelo: he has the skills to outbox him... Power will help too but won't be a deciding factor.

you can't compare angulo to lemieux. not as powerful and not as quick. not as good of a chin. angulo was also shopworn.
however Canelo is a lot like Broner. he tries to emulate floyd but he doesn't have the footspeed. HOWEVER all 3 of those fighters do not do well against swarmers with power and good chins.

Look man, I wasn't trying to insult you, I just said how I see it..
The ko tonight was impressive, but Canelo isn't Stevens. He's a pretty smart fighter with a high ring iq, my guess is he'd fought Lemieux the way he fought Angulo... He wouldn't wait for him to tire out, he'd came at him from the opening bell.. He's faster than Lemieux and has a much better combos.. Can fight on the inside too and has probably the best defence out of all the top middleweights...He'll ko Lemieux.

did enough to tame their ass. Doesnt have to hurt them just have to keep them in check. Mayweather made a career out of it.
a well placed punche is 1000x better than a hard punch.
mayweather has footspeed. even he didn't do too well against swarmers.
he ducked margarito remember? arguably lost to maidana and castillo.
the fact is Canelo is like mayweather but only slower without any of the agility. Canelo actually reminds me of Broner more than anyone else. Once he loses the size advantage he's nothing special.
A swarmer with power is his worst match-up.

I tend to agree with this, it will be fun to watch in the beginning and Lemule has a chance to land a bomb but he is outclassed outside of that. I think Canelo will weather the storm and get him late but most likely because David will be exhausted and body broke. Id like to see it but not before Canelo fights Golovkin.
