DAVID HAYE'S career is hanging in the balance after he underwent surgery on his torn Achilles tendon. The former WBA heavyweight champion was taken to hospital after his defeat to Tony Bellew. Haye, 36, was barely able to walk for the final five rounds after injuring his right ankle in the sixth. Click Here To Read More]
I do this kind of work for a living. If Haye wants to fight again it will be at least a year before he can compete in the ring. During the fight it looked like his ankle was taped. His movements were odd even at the beginning of the fight where he looked to be favoring that side. Could he possibly have ruptured it prior to the fight? Maybe they didn't want to disclose that for fear of backing out.yeah, and im personal adviser to advise donald "cun7" trump on his hair....pull the other one.
The demise of Matchroom would be bad for the sport. Don't be so ridiculous.
It'll be great
Most of his fighters will go over to The Great Frank Warren and his new BT sports deal
Hopefully Wlad knocks out Jousha
What a story that would be, a old veteran, who was totally schooled by Fury, coming back and reclaiming the titles off a young guy with so much hype behind him
The most skilled? LOL that's a good one 😂
Nobody has better head movement and counterpunching skills than the Hayemaker. He's also the best ¨ambush fighter¨ in the whole sport
Haye is a big loss for a division full of plodding, windmilling behemoths with no skills
when did eddie hearn become a doctor and also recipient of a ruptured achilies tendon? how would he know if it would be too painful for haye? adrenaline can keep you on your feet with a broken ankle. like bellew claiming he broke his hand....still throwing it but i dont hear hearn saying he must have only sprained the hand.

Hayes career is over, in fact it was over pretty much when he lost to Klit.
Karma paid Haye back on Saturday for all the BS he has pulled over the years.
He is an exciting fighter sure, but he is just not physically capable of competing at the highest level.
Ducking Briggs to fight Bellew...How did that work out for you Dave?
i really hope wlad knocks jousha out, and spence knocks out brook, it would be the perfect year for the demise of matchroom
i have nothing against jousha, but hearn will shed a lot of tears if josuah were to lose, the biggest cash cow matchroom has getting beat by a old man, who fury beat with ease
i will be rooting for wlad

So sad, there goes the most skilled heavyweight fighter in the game
Wilder, Joshua and all the other pretenders will be high fiving themselves if Haye retires

Eddie Hearn doesn't know **** about boxing. He's an accountant for **** sake.
So Hearn thinks because Bellew beat a one legged man he has a good chance of beating Parker or Wilder? FFS
Hearn and bellew just wanted to cash out. Unless Wilder also breaks his hands on bellew then he would stop him.
Is it just coincidence that Haye was rumored to have an Achilles injury before the fight...and now he has had Achilles surgery after the fight?
He definitely had an injury before the fight. The problem is he cannot re-shedule or pull out of this fight. He has done so previously and he would never be allowed on sky ever again if he pulled out. I think he still thinks he would have enough for Bellew (couple of rounds) but bellew was still there half way through. He took some big shots which i don't think we all expect him to take from Haye.
Like most former champions(belt holders) in The Heavyweight division they stay in The game too long.
In The last decade I think its only Lennox Lewis & Vitali Klitschko that have stopped on top.
Ofcourse also Tyson Fury if he never returns.
