Love him or hate him or don't care about him, GGG gets discussed oh this forum more than any 3 fighters combined. He is a damn good fighter and those are the ones who get talked about the most. If he loses a fight he won't get talked about that much anymore. I agree there is no real need to talk about Ward and Kovalev. People either think one guy or the other won or it was a tie. Ward either gives him a rematch or he retires.
The only P4P list topping fighter who's threads don't get ruined immediately is Roman Gonzalez. And this is primarily because the sh*tposters rarely watch the flyweight divisions and don't know any of the fighters down there.

3. Floyd-McGregor
4. Khan vs BrookI agree. Two fights that will probably never happen. Anybody who believes McGregor has a chance of beating Mayweather under boxing rules has a lot to learn about the boxing skill level of a top MMA fist fighter vs. the boxing skill level of a great boxing champion.
LOL, but yea I'm a big proponent of the ignore feature here myself. Some people act like its some sissy stance to use the ignore feature on people you don't enjoy reading, but I equate not doing it with trying to listen to every idiot & bum you encounter in your life instead of trying to zone them out. I mean I f#cking wish I could put the 300lb lady complaining about pickles being on sale in a grocery store line on ignore.
I'm the same. I only do with people who spam every thread on the board with the same points. Simple because there is never anything to be gained by hearing what they have to say, yet they insist that everyone hears it.
I often think that the whole place would be dramatically improved if the people who constantly argue with each other could just be prevented from seeing each other's posts. They would have nothing to argue against and everyone else would be spared their arguments.
But at the end of the day I think they need each other. If their opponents were gone they wouldn't know what to do with themselves.
I don't know. Most topics degrade into school yard name calling at some point. In all honesty, some of the best threads I've been in have been like 20-30 comment ones with like 3 or 4 participants. You are always going to have the random trolls and the asshats aka the usual suspects in larger threads. There are like 15-20 people on here that I feel I can interact with and it won't turn into a YDKSAB or race baiting crap. I generally avoid the GGG/Kov/Mayweather etc etc topics, but, I get dragged in on occasion lol.
I know exactly what you mean. This is phenomenon for when I go on here that I call Rumack's Window. That stage where posters are making an effort to offer an original point of view or a reasonable analysis, and before which it descends into a repetitive, shitposting nightmare.
Some topics have a large window in terms of time. Like where the topic is relatively low profile division like cruiserweight, or sub-20 fight prospects, or one that requires people to have some knowledge of older fighters who weren't on PPV.
Other topics have a window of less than one page. These include almost every Mayweather, Pacquiao, Golovkin, and Kovalev-Ward thread. Also includes every P4P and PPV split thread ever made.
Almost no topic has a window that spans five pages. A window that spans 10 pages is unheard of. Sometimes a particularly passionate or knowledgeable poster will prise the window open when the thread is ten pages deep. But this will always attract the attention of the shitposters, who will slam the window shut and smear their shitposts all over it with renewed energy.
If you NSB well you can pretty accurately assess what windows are shut with just a glance. The window will still be open on a typical cruiserweight/prospect/historical thread when it's 3 or 4 pages deep. The window will be shut on a Golovkin thread by the time you've refreshed the page.

smiling and nodding, do not engage, repeat do not engage, i have made the mistake one too many times.
and they do not understand code word for 'im leaving now' such as ' OK then!' ....' Allriiight' while walking off.
*continues rambling about pickles*
GGG threads and Mayweather Vs McGregor at present.
Race bait threads (or the fact that almost every thread turns into a race topic) is annoying as well.
They're rife at the minute.
1. Anything Golovkin related
2. Kovalev-Ward, all of it.

1.Discussions where posters call a boxer a coward.
2.Discussion where the poster gives inside information on money offers or contract details but gives no reliable source for his information.
3. Mayweather vs McGregor
Nothing is annoying on here to me...mainly due to blocking all the GGG trolls / fanboys and race baiters
block kigali, issac, pbp, canelo maidana, therealpugilist, larryXXX, bambam, kinghippo etc.
and the forum actually becomes readable again.
HTH. yw.
my two favourite topics
:lol1:
Seriously I haven't seen a good Golovkin thread on here in years. They all descend into the exact same argument, and it happens several times every week.
Kovalev-Ward is more recent, but it's no less annoying. Everyone on the thread freaking out over a throwaway comment from either man, or spending 20 pages debating the definition of robbery.
Both topics are just awful.
