He doesn't want to fight you. Kovalev does however and its unfinished business IMO.
This.
GGG obviously don't want it, fight Kovalev and Beterbiev afterwards if he gets past Barrera, then the BIG one Adonis 'Pimpin POS Child Sex Offender' Stevenson and deliver gods judgement on that scum bag. Immortality awaits you, their is no credit for beating a Korean midget.
We said this last year and it was widely reported. Alvarez was also negged with the All-Star lawsuit. Who knows how much Alvarez lost from that alone, but how much PPV #s, forget net, has Alvarez done under his marquee name?
If boxing industry says it's the biggest fight in boxing, how in the hell is Alvarez going to agree on a 55%-45% WBC purse bid mandate!!!? He can still fight Golovkin any time and make more! Until Golovkin fights a top level guy, which is why K2 and Abel are optimistic for the Jacobs bout, then at least they can go from there.
Alvarez has already justified himself, and without a doubt Bhop and Oscar coach him out on what to say, but Alvarez is no dummy. Alvarez SACRIFICED his own 0 at a 152 against the greatest fighter in the world yet Gennady declined 168 for Ward.
cmon yall how are people still blind about this? Why is that every pro boxer talking about it, those who've made money, always state money conflicts?
1. The purse split for a WBC title fight is 70/30. The rule giving the interim champion 45% was removed in 2013. The interim champ can ask for 45%, but it's not an entitlement. Canelo was a clear A side back then. The Mexican run WBC would not have given GGG 45% on a purse bid.
2. Canelo could have easily avoided a purse bid by making GGG a good offer, eg, $15million and no catchweight.
3. Why didn't Canelo offer GGG $15million back then, instead of vacating without any offers at all.
4. Niki Minaj is a dog. I would need paying to go anywhere near her. If she offered me £15million and a Cadburys Cream Egg, I would consider it doe.
ward is not only a smart fighter but also a very principled one too.
he knows how to maximize his drawing power (the floyd route) but he feels it's wrong
gotta admire that. :boxing:
Does anyone care about this still? Ward just needs to fight Kovalev, Stevenson or retire instead of talking about GGG at this point.
no... he need only think for big money fights rightnow. he had nothing more to prove. if Lil g's fight can bring the kind of money he never seen before the let's get it on
Big GGG fan ,but this makes me laugh almost spilled my coffee !!!
Its hard not to be a GGG fan, he comes forward n hurts you with boxing skills, dudes a beast
I know im making fun of his accent also but the point is all of it is true
Why would u show interest to face Ward n ask for 164lb catchweight lol wtf lol then show interest to face Chavez n Froch at around 170lbs lol stupid, Mayweather at 154 but not Nelo wtf lol
What if Ward intially called out KOvalev at a 170lb catchweight lol " I wana fight you but can we make it at 171lbs instead of 175" lol

Wgaf about any of that...gbp didn't want to put canelo in with ggg plain and simple. It might get done this year tho. In the meantime, jacobs vs ggg is the best fight the mw division has to offer. I used to follow the sport much closer than i do now...i used to care about all the behind the scenes politics too, but now i can't be bothered. It's always simply risk vs reward...everything else is a bunch of bs talk and excuses. Instead of fans acknowledging we're getting f*cked around, we argue back and forth about it like we have some type of stake in it.
Golovkin is on a mission at MW. He's after his 4th belt in the division, and on his way to breaking Hopkins' record number of defenses.
Anybody who wants to stop him at MW, feel free. Step right up.
So every fighter that vacates a belt is PURELY on ducking?
Who said that? The situation dictates. I know you guys hate ggg fans and all, but it's pretty obvious what happened there.
I like it when Abel lifts up Gennady on a win and little gee whispers into Abel's ear, ''no seriously, cream pies on a Nick Minaj is what every man fantasies about, and can you please hold me tighter coach!?''
I prefer my cream pies without STDs, ta very much. Like wise my cream eggs. I like a nice bit of finny haddock too, straight out the frying pan. I don't like them George Foreman grills doe. They make my burgers taste funny.
oh that's right, so daring, hence ''daring to be great'' means being practically conservative in professional boxing as a recognized ''hulk'' trying to beat Hopkins' record by staying in the Middleweight division when at the same time his own mgmt have said that 154-168 has been easy? That's daring to be great?
Daring to be great, ideally or technically, means challenging yourself to step up, correct, in boxing right?
Or as others say, ''you just want Gennady to move up because you want him to lose?''
heaven forbid boxers moving up, good god, no....
You never answered my question .. do you like Cadbury's Cream Eggs?
BHop was quite happy staying at 160 defending his MW titles against guys like Andrew Council and Antwun Echols (twice) for 10 years and he didn't "dare to be great" until he lost those titles at the age of 41
Ward ducked Golovkin at 164!
Yeah, he wanted to fight Floyd Mayweather at 160 doe.
'Ward stated on the social networks - "Lil Floyd says he spars middleweights. He is the only man I will sacrifice coming to 160 for. He won't take that bait!!!" -'

How is offering a fighter 5x his highest payday a duck?
How is vacating a belt to avoid a fighter not a duck? I'm sure gbp and canelo have a business plan that doesn't include ggg at this time...but they don't need to make it like they're trying to get the fight done. The only people it convinces are people like you.
He's talking about the date. Ward was insisting that he sent Loeffler an offer before GGG signed to fight Lemieux, and he said he had a copy of a dated email to prove it.
But he never showed anybody that email, and he never sued Sanchez for calling him a liar, which was threatened at one point.
Ward has since double tracked on this, btw. He now accepts that he sent the email to Loeffler AFTER GGG signed for Lemieux, but he just didn't know about it at the time.
Ward is full of ****, just like his moronic cheer leaders at this place.
Well he really needs to stfu about the email then. I can see the reason he didn't want to show anyone now.
I'm not gonna show the email...I'm just gonna talk about it every chance i get...without proving it actually exists.
Doesn't need to, Loeffler confirmed it.

Canelo has offered Golovkin 5x his highest payday. If Golovkin doesn't take that offers he's the duck.
Good to see you're consistent. In reality, what you're saying is...if it's a fighter i like it's not a duck, but if it's a fighter i don't like it's a duck. I don't know what ggg or his fans did to some of you guys...but it's funny to see you spend day in and day out posting about him.
It's pretty simple. If the fighter has nothing to offer financially or in legacy it's not a duck. Golovkin had nothing to offer Ward in 2012/2013. Both would have gained financially and in legacy in 2015, that's when Golovkin decided he didn't want the risk and ducked.
You know very well that Ward isn't worth any money. Kovalev got two millions only. No one moves up or down to earn less money.
2013 Golovkin was a nobody. No reason, what do you mean no reason? Ward would have been his biggest fight, a legacy fight, an HOF fighter. B....b...but no reason.
Fighters move up or down for money. Or when they can't make weight anymore.
