The rule giving the interim champion 45% was removed in 2013. The interim champ can ask for 45%, but it's not an entitlement. Canelo was a clear A side back then. The Mexican run WBC would not have given GGG 45% on a purse bid. 2. Canelo could have easily avoided a purse bid by making GGG a good offer, eg, $15million and no catchweight. 3. Why didn't Canelo offer GGG $15million back then, instead of vacating without any offers at all. 4. Niki Minaj is a dog. I would need paying to go anywhere near her. If she offered me £15million and a Cadburys Cream Egg, I would consider it doe.

ward is not only a smart fighter but also a very principled one too. he knows how to maximize his drawing power (the floyd route) but he feels it's wrong gotta admire that. :boxing:

It might get done this year tho. In the meantime, jacobs vs ggg is the best fight the mw division has to offer. I used to follow the sport much closer than i do now...i used to care about all the behind the scenes politics too, but now i can't be bothered. Canelo has offered Golovkin 5x his highest payday. If Golovkin doesn't take that offers he's the duck. Good to see you're consistent. It's pretty simple. If the fighter has nothing to offer financially or in legacy it's not a duck. Golovkin had nothing to offer Ward in 2012/2013. Both would have gained financially and in legacy in 2015, that's when Golovkin decided he didn't want the risk and ducked. You know very well that Ward isn't worth any money. Kovalev got two millions only. No one moves up or down to earn less money.
