Who would be stupid enough to pay for Floyd Vs. Conor?

Not everything's about the most competitive possible matchups or the integrity of the sport. This would be a spectacle and it would be fun.

you homos say you wont pay for it, i bet you will walk your ass to a buffalo wild wings or freeload off your friend to watch it. I wouldn't knock people for actually watching it. People in general enjoy a good circus show from time to time. But in the sense of dishing out $80-100 to watch it? If a bar is showing it and aren't charging at the door, f*ck it. That's what most do anyway for any other PPV.

I'll buy it, because why wouldn't I? It will be an event that will transcend the sport of boxing or MMA, it's a water cooler moment in pop culture. And for $60? It costs more than $60 for me and my fiance to go get dinner and see a movie - so why not order it, order a couple of pizzas, buy some beer, invite some of my friends over, and have a good time watching it for the sake of watching it. As a boxing fan, I have no interest in it, but I watch award shows where I hardly recognize half the movies or artists nominated. I watch Super Bowl between teams I couldn't care less about. Why would I take some moral high ground stand for a one sided boxing fight - plus the undercard might be genuinely enjoyable. So again, I ask, why not?

Forget pay for it, who would be stupid enough to watch? Mayweather, the perennial PPV disappointment versus a guy who can't box. Do people realise how ****ing hideous and awkward it's going to look when Conor is trying to throw punches? Biggest freakshow of all time between two Las Vegas clowns. The only upside of it will be seeing the MMA fans getting duped by Mayweather like boxing fans have for years. Stupid to watch it yeah, stupid to pay for it nah. I like someones else idea of going to place that will show it make night of it but difficult to do that in UK not many places will stay open to 5am. So a stream it would be for me.

It's a complete and utter mismatch. But, you've got me messed up if you think I'm going to miss this circus. None of us need to miss it I just think streaming is the answer to this PPV If it gets made.

Poll added, I'd really like to know how people feel about this one. For me this is 10 times worse than the Berto fight, Berto would likely do an absolute number on someone like Conor McGregor and If this fight happens Conor McGregor will very likely get KOed by Floyd who has had a long lay off, not KOed anyone in many years and is now in his 40's as well? It's a freak show but to be honest I'll buy it. And so will millions. Biggest star in UFC vs biggest star in Boxing. Two massive PPV sellers. Two brash, Vilian esque characters. It's money. I get why they're pursuing it.

This is the type of event that can capture the imagination of the public it has all the back end front end story and they the 2 biggest names in combat sport, that means mega numbers.
