Why do people think this is BIG news?
From what I hear GBP'S budget per show is $65k. That is a horrible budget to put on anything other than no name 4 and 6 rounders.
Nobody cares about that stuff.
Imagine having an unlimited budget and still putting on stuff nobody cares about...wish Friday night fights was just still around....
Oh yeah!
A whole 300k boxing geeks around the US were FNF faithfuls.
I mean the content was so meaningful.
Wanna go out on a Friday night with friends and coworkers? Nah... I'm cool. Let me sit at home and watch no name boxing LOL

Well, if you think that those shows are not worth it, then just dont watch. The same goes for the people who think PBC is bad.
But im not going to care if some fighters fight for free or make millions thx to his promoters.
Thought I read it was smaller than that, but I don't see the numbers written about much.
Anything less than $50k and a promoter would basically be guaranteed to lose money unless they are literally putting on ***** shows ...
Its chump change compared to what PBC is building.
It's embarrassing that some stupid fans even compare GBP to PBC.
yeah, GBP are such amateurs. They should really be losing $1 million per show like PBC...........

:ROCK::ANYWORD:
Estrella is averaging a 0.1 18-49 rating in primetime, even to last year at this time, according to Nielsen.
In total viewers, it’s averaging 150,000, down from 160,000 last year.
LOL.
If 150,000 viewers is considered STUPENDOUS... I don't know what ta tell ya
And what is the Estrella budget?

lord now you just lying. Golden Boy gets excellent attendance for these monthly fights. Packed house every card. As for viewership please post a link showing it's low? I don't think anyone knows their viewership not sure Estrella is part of Nielsen ratings. Right now these fights air on R!ng Tv Live which is streaming only golden boy knows the viewership and Estrella TV. Before that the series aired on FS1 where it drew the same exact ratings that PBC draws today on FS1 but for a fraction of the cost. They got around 200k viewers on FS1 moving to ESPN2 a channel that gets more eyeballs they will probably get around the same viewers if not more then FNF got on ESPN2 which is what ESPN is looking for.
FNF operating on a smaller budget then this it's a series for young prospects.
Hey... if you call attendance below 1500 fans excellent, I guess we have different standards LOL
Oh you mean like the series on Estrella TV that gets no viewership or attendance?

To the people mentioning the $65k budget:
This isn't as bad as you think. Most FNF cards were about $20-25k. So this is a significant increase.
Also, don't lose sight of the fact that HBO/SHO cards are relatively rare for the sport. Most fights are fought in small venues with budgets much less than this.
Its good, GBP have prospects that cater to a market that actually exists....latino fight fans are the most reliable boxing consumers... not the urban hip hop market that only comes out for Mayweather and nobody else...even Floyd struggled early in his career to put butts in seats, that fanbase is just unreliable. The fighters will most likely have crowd pleasing styles too, that;s what casual sports fans will remember next time they see boxing's on.
Oh you mean like the series on Estrella TV that gets no viewership or attendance?
