The Roy that schooled Ruiz would have danced around Prime Tyson and Lewis. Destroy both.
People forget it's abouts peed not power speed is always greater than power and roy had much more handspeed and footspeed compare to tyson and lewis lewis was slow for a big guy and tyson carried 220 pounds on a 5'10 frame that is way too many pounds t move around effectively roy would have danced to a ud.
I don't think that Roy had a glass jaw at heavyweight either. He only had a weak chin at LHW and at CW. At MW and HW his chin was granite.
I dont think Tyson was tottaly shot after the Holyfield fight. I just think he was a bit exposed to not being able to deal with guys who box.
Example Lewis keeping him at the end of the jab.
Example Holyfield being able to counter punch him all night long (please no head butt excuses)
I think the Roy that fought Ruiz would have had enough Ring IQ to outpoint Tyson "post Holyfield".
Now to be fair Tyson was not as explosive as he once was before Prison, that Tyson would have laid Jones out.
I think Tyson was not the same after Buster Douglas, his entire invincible persona was blown away after that fight, Tyson was a heavy handed beast for a relatively short period he wasnt a good boxer and thats why a fearless Holyfield beat him, once guys was not in fear of Mike his bubble was popped.
Early Mike would do to Roy as he did to Spinks.
Who would be talking about a totally shot Tyson, come on apply a bit of common sense .

Example Buster timing and keeping distance and sometimes smothering Tyson.

Younger Tyson I hope you mean.
The same Tyson that lost to Kevin Mcbride and Danny Williams gets embarrassed by Roy Jones.

Agreed.
See the difference between Lewis and Tyson is ANY version of Lewis would have Ko'd Jones within 1-2 rounds.
Tyson probably after Holyfield would have lost to Jones by UD.

C'mon man.. Tyson then was not even a shadow of himself in those fights.. The guy kept fighting because he was broke as hell..
I 1000% disagree with Roy Jones being able to beat any version of Lennox Lewis.
However, Tyson vs Jones, I could see Jones giving Tyson all types of problems.
Jones Advantages
1. Faster Hands
2. Better footwork
3. Better ring IQ
4. Better counter puncher
5. Better defense
Tyson Advantages
1. More Power in shots
2. Possibly better combos
I could see the Roy Jones that fought Ruiz beating older versions of Tyson easily
He was too scared to even face a shot Tyson so what makes you think he would go anywhere near a prime tyson? Lol
He could have faced Tyson after the Ruiz fight but he punked out.
He didn't even want to fight an old Douglas who just woke up from a diabetic coma.
Ruiz managed to stop Holyfield, who stopped Tyson.
If you want to use stupid triangle theories - David Tua knocked Ruiz TFO, then Tua went on to get absolutely schooled by Lewis.
And your other line about RJJ being 6"5 230lb? His heaviest fight night weight was 204 - in 2015. He's barely scratching 6 foot.
He'd be 6"5-230 if he ate doughnuts for four months after getting one of those leg extension ops in Thailand.
You're a fvcking idiot.
Ruiz was chosen for a reason, he was slow and plodding and not all that big or heavy handed by HW standards.
Tyson and Lewis are totally different HWs compared to Ruiz, I love Roy Jones great great fighter but those 2 at HW would have killed him.
Weight in a fight never changes, when all things are equal the bigger man will win, that is as true as rain.
Boxing allows a smaller man that is more skillful to beat a bigger man that is not up to his standard pound for pound, but at some point when raising the class of the bigger guy the power game is going to run over the skill game.
Actually there are supplements nowadays that can temporarily increase your height for like 4 - 6 months.
It's possible Roy could've grown to 6'5" and 240+ with the help of these supplements, though it would've been illegal.
I like Roy, but I can never support performance enhancing drugs.
Lennox wasn't too big. Lewis was 245 and 6'5. Roy at his heaviest was around 230 and 6'4.
Obviously you're trolling.
You must be bored.
Roy's never been 6'4, he's never weighed 230 pounds, and Lennox would have had a 10" reach advantage.
Ruiz managed to stop Holyfield, who stopped Tyson.
Ruiz was a very underrated heavyweight champion. I will put him in a h2h top 10.
H2H HEAVYWEIGHT TOP 10
ALI
LEWIS
TYSON
VITALI
WLAD
BOWE
HAYE
RUIZ
JOSHUA
GOLOTA
Why are you being stupid?
It's not funny.
Both of them KO Roy. Roy made the biggest mistake of his boxing career by not fighting in the Cruiserweight Division. He weighed in at 193 lbs vs. John Ruiz.
cRUSIERWEIGHT is a joke.
Cruiserweight is just for people that wasn't big enough for heavyweights.
