I can't see how these organizations blatantly allow Golden Boy judges to give every round to Canelo. Lara said that he wants a rematch with him but imo he would just get robbed again.
he ran away from the victory he knew damn well they wouldn't give him a close fight why didn't he put his foot on the gas.
because he can't. i've watch every pro fight that lara has on tape, and he just doesn't have that professional mentality to take advantage of his strengths for damage. he uses his speed and accuracy for points. it's all he knows how to do with it.
it's a shame, because the guy has a huge reach, good power, very good speed, and he's got a lot of skill. he just came out of the amateurs too late and with too much of an amateur mentality.
angulo? I agreed with you vanes, Molina and ginger, but he made angulo quit
he ran from angulo and ended up on the ropes eating shots. a professional takes advantages of the opportunities provided and does his work from teh center of the ring. lara proved in that fight that he didn't have the professional mentality needed to outclass angulo the way he should, and it led to him getting dropped twice and eating lots of punches he should have never taken.
that same amatuer approach, to basically retreat until you feel the ropes, will get him absolutely destroyed against golovkin, and it lost him the fight against canelo.
those cards were bonk IIRC, but the figh twas close, and i have no isues with somebody given the decision to canelo. body shots count. you score the effect of the punches round by round. you can easily make the argument thet canelo was the more effective pncher in the balance of the rounds. lara probably couldn have won that fight, but i don't think he has the mentality to do it.
he's just not a professional boxer. he boxes like he's in an amateur fight. get ahead with points and coast. it doesn't work at the very top level, and his performances against angulo, vanes, molina, and canelo all underline that.angulo? I agreed with you vanes, Molina and ginger, but he made angulo quit
Of course.
Although i'm not even sure it was a robbery, but i can see how he won. If he had just thrown a few more punches in each round then he would have clearly won (and probably still not god the decision).
It was a hard fight to score and an awful fight. If Lara did lose, then i think he lost it himself rather than Canelo deserving the win, if that makes sense.I agreed with you a 100%, although the rounds that Lara won were clearly than those of canelos, but they have a judge already in their pockets, he saw the fight 117-111, he only gave Lara 3 rounds, again, I think Lara fought too cautious and should had thrown more punches, but there is no way canelo won that fight on his own merit.
Didn't one of the guys score it 117-111 for Canelo though? I can see where you're coming from but every fight with Canelo has him up on the scorecards by some ridiculous amount, except for against superstars like Floyd where they can only give him a draw.
I had it 10-2 Canelo. Judge had it, I guess I could see 117-111 if you want to he nice to Lara.
Can't believe people are buying this crap from Decubas and Lara who have become scam artists - mention Canelo and Golovkin's name, then fight Zaveck-level opponents. People need to start demanding that he fights Andrade, Williams, Charlo brothers. Anyone else is unacceptable. Canelo would rather rematch Kirkland than go through chasing a marathon runner all night again.
Lara is not the same "Erislandy" & unfortunately for the older now slower Lara it's not the same "Canelo" either. Alvarez would put Lara to sleep in a rematch.
I just actually watched this fight back, it's not quite as bad as i remember but would be in no hurry to see it again.
I still think it was fairly close and could have gone either way but i also still feel they would have found a way to give Canelo the decision somehow even if it wasn't as close.
I don't see how anyone can call that a robbery. Lara didn't do nearly enough to win that fight. Had he let his hands go more, he probably would've won. 7-5 Canelo
Lara fans all 5 of them need to just get over it. Lara could of won if he let his hands go and stood his ground and fought in spots. But if he did that he would of left himself open to getting countered and dropped by Canelo. So the P@ssy ran and ran and deserved what he got. They landed virtually the same amount of punches. But one guy was going backwards landed weak slapping jabs while the other was going forward landing all the meaningful power punches. Judges favored the man going forward actually trying to fight over the scared beyotch running from a fight. Not a robbery.
The purpose of lateral movement is not just to avoid getting hit, its to safely create offense which Lara did not do clearly for 12rds. Lara gave up being the ring general a lot more in the fight than Canelo did. I had the fight a draw after watching it 3x's, Id expect the same result or a draw everytime they fought. Lara fans need to face reality that Canelo is just a lil bit better.
How can he get robbed again when he wasn't robbed in the first fight? Lara ran the whole fight. Canelo landed just as many and much harder punches and chased him all fight. Without Canelo there would have been no fight, just a track race. There have been lots of polls done on who won the fight and Canelo always wins the polls with boxing fans and boxing writers.Do another poll if you don't believe it. Only bias Lara fans like you think he won. Most of the boxing world thinks the right guy won the fight. Canelo has improved a lot since then and Lara has just gotten older. If Canelo fought Lara again I think he would knock Lara out

Alright guys. My main point is that Canelo always has at least 1 biased judge on his side. Will this be the case throughout his career?
ok now i agree with you on that
By landing more punches than Canelo he wasn't being active enough? The whole objective of outboxing is to make your opponent look like a fool. And Canelo was looking like a fool.
He landed around 10 more punches
Mayweather the guy that actually made him look like a fool landed 100+ punches
