I do because unlike other fighters, by fighting around the world, he's living to the title of "world" champion.
That's something I never liked about Floyd, Ward, Wilder and all these other American fighters, they rarely or ever fight overseas. It's always in Vegas or NYC, or US in general.
I find interesting that Pacman will be fighting in Australia. I never heard of big fights happening there but the fact he's fighting there, makes me intrigued.
Now we're also hearing he might fight in the Middle East, Russia, England, etc.
If I was Arum, this would be my scheduled world tour for Pacquiao.
April 2017 - Pacquiao vs Horn in Brisbane, Australia
June 2017 - Pacquiao vs Burns in Glasgow, Scotland
Sept 2017 - Pacquiao vs Provodnikov in Moscow, Russia
Dec 2017 - Pacquiao vs Khan in Dubai, UAE
Feb 2018 - Pacquiao vs Brook at Wembley Stadium in England!
May 2018 - Pacquiao vs M. Garcia at Azteca Stadium in Mexico
Sept 2018 - Pacquiao vs D. Garcia in Puerto Rico!
Dec 2018 - Pacquiao vs Crawford in USA (final stop)
I like it. He's a great ambassador for boxing. We need more boxers to do this if boxing wants to appeal to a more wider audience. I know a lot of co workers and friends who think boxing is a relic of the past and are MMA meatheads.
So fight Crawford when Pac is even older...:pat:
Manny is not fighting TC.
Honestly he beats a 38yo Manny the same way hed beat a 40yo one so why not? Besides, whether you like Manny and TR or not, Manny fighting all over the world is a GREAT thing. If TC whoops him the world will know Manny got whooped not just USA.
The US isn't the home of world boxing anymore, not like it used to be. Another 'victim' of globalisation
I just hope this isn't some ploy justify this fight, only to go back to Vegas or whatever afterwards.
Pacquiao/Brook would be huge over here. Serious money to earn
pacquiao wouldstill be in vegas if the fights wouldn't flop. you need to take this bob arum circus act on the road to fill up the tend.
this fight and the end of pacquiao's career is a sham, and i am not going to pay to watch it.
It is a good idea but four fights a year I doubt it happens maybe he could get 3 fights in a year if he doesn't have much to do with that political job he took on.

Love it. Would love to see him KO'd on all 7 continents. He already has 2 under his belt.
great way to end a legendary career. .but you gotta have Crawford in there.
Crawford should be his last fight and should be done in Manilla. Itd get casuals interested in the name alone, The Thrilla in Manilla 2...
This world tour is a smoke screen to collect some $$$ while delaying a Crawford fight. A real world tour would have world class opponents involved. Let's hope Manny does so after this cherry pick.
The Horn fight sucks but Manny is 38 and at the end of a legendary career, he really can fight whoever he wants, most guys in his position fight cans anyway, the difference is Manny can still compete with the best of them hence why he might catch some flak. Tyson at this stage was fighting Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.
If this is true, win or loose, boxing will have to write a big page thanking the midget.
If he does it, he is bigger than anything i have ever seen.
Except for a few, insert Durán here.
Great concept, but Horn is simply not a worthy adversary. I guess Horn @147, Burns @140 (if he beats Indongo), and Khan/Brook at Wembley/O2 wouldn't be too bad of a year. But, we know Pac isn't gonna fight three times because he hasn't done so since 2008.
the "World Tour" thing is fine, and a good idea, but the opponent selection is rather poor in this case. I would have taken bets that no way Arum makes Pac-Horn, and it would have cost me dearly lol
I feel bad for the senate back home. Their country is in the worst state since US occupation and their most important member is off beating guys up around the world.
I see it as just a money grab. Best believe if arum was actually putting manny in good fights he would still be fighting in America.
The problem is arum black balled himself and burned a lot of bridges and is basically forced to do this manny fighting no bodies around the world tour.
Manny was just saying he needs all the time he can get for his political career and it was his priority and now he goes on a boxing world tour and is going to fight more often than he did in his prime smh🤔.
Yeah, delighted he'll go to Australia to fight a journeyman fighter and then on to other places.
And people slated Floyd for fighting Berto, and ex world champ that people have actually heard of..
I like it. Another poster stated this will open up boxing to the world. Pac is a huge international name and he will pack the house in any country. Good for the sport even if not necessarily good for Manny.
I see maybe 3 fights this year. If it goes 4, it will end in good ol' Vegas against Bud. If it is only 3, then I see Manny/Bud at the end of the year.
Alot of people saying Manny ain't ready for Bud. I think it goes both ways. Bud needs some fights at 147 to see if he can handle the weight and power at welter. Manny needs another 2 camps and fights to get back to true fighting form and at the same time, it will give Freddy and Team Pac a few more fights to see if he can handle the likes of Bud and if the fight game is still in his heart 100%.
Stay Tuned, I will!
