If he moves up, he can make fights with:
Zurdo Ramirez, Degale, Chavez jr, Eubank jr who might move up.
If he stays at 160, he can make fights with:
Canelo, Jermall Charlo and Lara who said they are moving up and Eubank jr.
What do you think it's best for boxing? and what is more challenging?
He's right where he needs to be, there's no need to move up just yet. Canelo, Charlo and Lara will move up eventually so those are the fights to make with GGG in due time.
2018 would be a good year for GGG to go to SMW, but right now everything is either tied up or in the case of Rameriz - not ready. Zurdo needs to get 2-3 defenses under his belt to establish himself.
The winner of DeGale/Jack has the WBC mando-Smith by the middle of the year, then the IBF mando after that. Groves/Chudinov will have to fight Zeuge.
I think golovkin skips 168 all together and goes strait to 175 but it all depends on the opponents because if he's about to take on nela, Lara, and charlo after Jacobs it doesn't make sense to move up.
His answer is not really counter to yours though. If Charlo moves to 160 and GGG snags that fight, great. If he sits around 160 and makes uninteresting one-sided fights, why not move up?
I'll support GGG being at 160 for as long as there are good fights to make at that weight that can actually be made, and I believe Foxx feels the same way.
^This. Thank you.
Maxi, you have such tunnel vision when it comes to these arguments that everyone else can see the topic clearly but you.
Bias? I just said he should take the best fights available. Please explain what is biased about that?
You try to set these poorly rigged traps and then get pissed when you're the one who gets snared.

You talk as if Golovkin ever avoided tough fights at 160.
But I get your point in terms of GGG not being able to make the fights the people want at 160. He can't force people in the ring.
You completely miss the point and show your bias again.
Charlo said he's moving up to 160 soon. Lara said two more fights at 154 and I will move up to 160.
You've been complaining about GGG not fighting Lara for years and now that Lara will move up you don't care about that fight anymore? also, can you think of any other opponent more difficult than Charlo at 160?

Go wherever the fights are at. This whole, "Why go to 168 when Canelo is at 160" idea is based in a lie. How long is he supposed to wait around for a guy who isn't even officially a MW and just fought at JMW? Even if Canelo goes to MW, how long will Golovkin wait for the actual fight? This could easily turn into another 2 years. You want GG fighting Canelo at 37 years old?
Fk waiting around on one fighter. Golovkin should grab whatever legacy-building fights he should get, be they at 160 or 168.

168 would do the same thing to Golovkin that 160 has been. Duck.
By ok-ing the move up because he can't get a fight at 160 we are saying it is ok to duck the best. After a eubank jr canelo and bjs fight then I want to see him move up. If Golovkin doesn't get a fight with those guys right after Jacobs then yes 168 is best for boxing as long as he fights top guys. No more bums.

All we need is for GGG to fight Danny and then Canelo in Sept 2017. If the Canelo fight doesn't get made, I hope he makes the best fight -either Charlo or go up. Just no more easy bums.
If he's going to be able to make the best fights he can at this weight, staying here is fine. For now Jacobs is a perfectly fine reason to stay and so would Canelo.
People wanted him to move up when he was signing fights with Brook and Wade that no one really cared for.
