I want to see this fight. Beterbiev has a much better inside game and short range than Kovalev imho. Now can Artur have the stamina to not run out of gas? Ward with potshotting on his bike (respectfully so) for five or six rounds, all the while clinching to wear down Beterbiev stamina while keeping perfect control of range to negate the power until its diminished from the onset of exhaustion. I think he would be eating Wards left hooks all night, probably wouldnt see Wards right hand much. Ward with a points win with his pitty pat punches, fleeting footwork(in a large ring)and potshotting leads to the UD. Gotta give edge to Ward even if he can't really hurt AB as much as slow him down. AB would need to get his timing right and most importantly cut off the ring instead of merely chasing Ward all night like Kovalev made the mistake of doing.
Personally I'd like to see him get his block knocked off but you gotta be fair and not just a fanboy. May the best man win and please lord let it be decisive.
Still favor Ward by Decision but Beterbiev presents some issues on the inside BUT Ward could out-box him from the outside
Would like to see his next fight be a big match up before throwing him in with Kovalev, Ward or Stevenson. Either Joe Smith, Fonfara, Pascal, Barrera, Gvozdyk of those guys before finally getting his big match
Need to see Artur make quite a step up before we can gauge how he would do against Ward. Like I said in another thread though, Ward would have to keep Artur on the outside. His punches are too powerful even at such short ranges.
