Can Jermall Charlo be a superstar??

I would say YES hard to believe that he is still only 26 years old and Trout and J Rock in 1 year is a strong year for him so give that man credit for stepping up and fighting a guy that many thought he would lose to and him knocking him out in dramatic and impressive fashion All depends on how he is promoted, I think if he continues to fight under Shaefers promotion then yes I do think he can Absolutely! If he keeps on winning he definitely could. He has the look, he's lucid enough in his speech and he has power.

It will probably take one year before he's seen again. No way anyone can make stars out of fighters content in fighting once a year. It's just normal for viewers to be curious about how their next fight will go. It's a dynamic sport. You can't just win big, then disappear for long periods of time.

So does GGG but you stay on his lap. golovkin speaks hardly any english and his personality comes across much better than charlo's. there's a reason golovkin is brought onto espn regularly, etc. he's got a playful, jovial personality that's in complete contrast with how he fights. i'm not saying that he's some kind of charismatic middleweight ali, but the guy has more appeal to casual fans than charlo, who is hardly distinguishable from the other dude who looks just like him and has a virtually identical name. i called him "big charlo" for years, because i didn't give enough of a **** about him to distinguish between him and his brother, who his parents named virtually the same thing. he had to make a name for himself boxing for me to call him jermall. golovkin is so good that you've become preoccupied with him. he's all you think about :lol1:

will all come down to if they can find a base for him to sell tickets from The Toyota Center is situated right there in downtown Houston; doubt that he's ready for that now, but that should be the goal. The 154lb division is chock-full of a legit young lions, so the matchups should be strong (and there's a decent depth of top-level talent based in the Houston area too), but it'll come down to how much attention Charlo can get in Houston and how he performs in the ring.

a superstar? he's really not a big draw at the moment. i don't see a ton of network backing, either. i think he can be a good fighter on TV and make a lot of money, but he'd need to beat golovkin or canelo to really cross over and become a star. also, he's "controversial" i guess, but the guy has the personality of a stick of broccoli.

Compared to any Haymon fighter GGG is old.:lol1: Boxing is a young man's sport. Young fighters have no reason to fight once a year. Look at the Haymon fighters who are now fighting once a year. Thurman, Broner, the other Charlo, Lara, Porter, Peterson (this guy has disappeared), Andrade, etc.

He can be a star if he fights more frequently. Twice a year won't cut it if he wants the public to know the difference between him and his brother. He's a good fighter to watch. Bad intentions and that knockout is as good as you'll see.

GGG isn't with Haymon and his PPV flopped at 97k:lol1: K2 boxing culture sucks. Compared to any Haymon fighter, GGG is more popular. That's a given. Look, fans want to see fighters fight 2-3 times a year. These Haymon fighters fight once a year. It's terrible.

Yes, he is 25 yrs.old. Plenty of time to be a Superstar in this sports. Just be more active, and fight good fighters.

It's hard to become a superstar in the Haymon culture. Their wins don't lead to anything. Fans are used to seeing them disappear for long periods of time. That's why it's hard to follow them.
