Pre fight everyone was saying how lemieux was gonna touch golovkin and golovkin has never been hit before and with his poor defense lemieux was gonna hit him. Everyone lemieux fights, he touches. He's a very fast explosive fighter. How come lemieux barely hit golovkin? Where were golovkin's defensive flaws and why were they not exposed? Instead ggg fought on the backfoot and jabbed lemieux easily even using shoulder rolls at times to evade lemieux's punches. The fight proves that ggg won't get hit if he dosen't want to. Especially against power punchers.
David Lemieuix had a 16'x16' ring, a Montreal-based referee and three judges all from Quebec yet the scores, on a round by round basis, were 6-6 even, 7-5 Lemieux, and 7-5 Lemieux.
The fight was on FS2/FS3, so it's clear that you didn't end up catching the fight, but don't make yourself look like an idiot
I saw the fight and it wasn't close. To say that N dam would of won if the ring was bigger lol. The scores were 115-109 and 114-110 for david. Stop lying you troll. He got dropped 4 times as well. It was a massacre.
:lol1::lol1:
GGG fans are so crazy about him, that they were the one's that were calling the fight a good fight and talking about Lemiuex's power and improvements. "Everyone" else called the fight a mismatch, but now they want to act like it was actually the world against them in that and that everyone said Lemiuex was dangerous
This is way too lame lol
lmfao pretty much this, at least this is what I recall from the GGG-Lemieux master thread. A funny time given that I was actually a fan of GGG at the time and had a GGG avatar. Up until GGG clearly ducked Ward by insisting that the fight be at 164.
No one, other than GGG's hardcore fans, was giving Lemieux a chance to win.
No one should take your posts serious after that.

......fast forward to today and PEDnaddy Golovcan't got lit up and lifted off the ground by an uppercut from a welterweight!
:cop::flirt: Triple-She , The Protected Diva" is 35 now his/her defense is pathetic, can't teach an old dog new tricks. At this point a one-armed blind/deaf/mute guy off the street would tee-off on him!
:haha:
¡Golovkin solo es un costal para CANELO ALVAREZ(#1 libra por libra) y ZURDO RAMIREZ(Campeon Mundial: 168lbs.)!
He's destroyed decent fighters too convincingly to suck. His style is too wild for him to ever reign over a division but he is a dangerous opponent.
To answer the thread, Golovkin clearly respected Lemieux's power more than his other opponents and fought behind the jab pretty much all night. He generally pressures with his entire body and keeps his hands free but he wasn't doing that with DL.
No, he's gotten past lesser fighters off his power. He's also lost to guys who he shouldn't have because of his power & his inability to adapt, adjust, change up his game or learn anything other than a KO. I will not even get into Rubio or Alcine, but, if you watched his fight against Rubio on ESPN2, then you know this guy isn't anything more that a HR hitter.
He's the Chris Carter(baseball) of boxing. Great power, strikesout a ton and is nowhere near the top of his position, league, weight etc etc. Having KO power does not equate to being a dangerous opponent if you can't get past a jab, an old man or a gatekeeper who himself couldn't get past the proverbial hump
Lemieux is a **** boxer when it comes to straight boxing skills, and everyone knew that beforehand; you put the N'Dam fight in a regulation-sized ring and Lemieux loses that fight wide, let alone what happened in the Alcime and Rubio fights.
Golovkin showed up, abandoned the "Mexican style" bull**** that he's been trying to push out in California, and showed up to box a bit, against a guy who can't box much anyway.
Keep ignoring reality if you want, Golovkin was getting done up by massive welterweight Kell Brook, to the point that he was getting hit with **** that had him leaving his feet.
People can cast doubts about the sturdiness of Daniel Jacobs' chin, but the man is going to show up more than equipped to box, and he's going to be boxing with his own bombs in hand. You add that Golovkin is nowhere near as slick as Pirog was and it's no wonder why the money to make this fight has been so hard to come by.
No one should take your posts serious after that.
Lemieux sucks. That might be too harsh, but he's really not that good. Why he gets spoken like he's something he isn't confuses the hell out of me

there wasnt any flaws. he looked sensational that night.
tell the rest of the story, looked sensational vs a shyte opponent. Look on the bright side, at least LeMew wasn't a welter weight.
Lemiuex was stopped by Rubio ffs, Lemiuex is a top 10 fighter at a very weak division, but still Golovkin really impressed in that fight, I thought he was just a puncher but he jabbed well and broke down Lemiuex but still we can't really brag about that fight
Lmao you G-tards are a deluded bunch.... no one outside of the Golovkin fans were giving Lemieux any chance outside of landing a hail Mary with his eyes closed.
The only way that fight was going to be any good is if Golovkin actually took it to Lemieux "street fight" style but once he decided to box it affirmed our thoughts that it was a mismatch all along, all Lemieux has is power and he was not the puncher in the fight.
Terrible thread from what is an increasingly terrible fan base. Why lie???
Lemieux definitely has the power and could be dangerous. He just doesn't have the boxing skills as mentioned. As far Jacobs goes how many here would put real money on Jacobs to beat Golovkin? Talk is cheap but I'm curious to know if anyone picks Jacobs seriously. If picking Jacobs is based on Brook's limited success with Golovkin I would say don't do it. Golovkin didn't take Brooks seriously and he paid for it initially. Once he woke up Brook had no chance. And Brook has a better chin than Jacobs. I would say he's just as skilled too. I just wish somebody would fight somebody. Getting bored with all the rhetoric.

Golovkin having no defense is a fallacy most of his critics hang on hoping he'll lose. I wouldn't pay attention too must of those idiots because they tend to be fanboys looking for attention.
As for your question, Golovkin kept his defense tight during that fight because Lemieux can crack but doesn't know how to create openings. All Golovkin had to do was stay composed and get the kayo.
