Guess bankrupt is the wrong word since he never actually filed bankruptcy. But shortly after his first "retirement" he was in sizeable tax debt and had most of his Marquez purse taken by the IRS:

thats what we thought last time he went bankrupt and paid his subsequent purses directly to the IRS
never underestimate stupidity
When has Floyd ever filed for bankruptcy?
Child please Floyd pays his dog walker more than that.

Except the money he made off the ODL/Hatton fights was long gone. Oscar had to give him a loan to keep him out of jail for tax delinquencies. Oscar did this in exchange for Mayweather fighting exclusively with GBP. That's why Floyd followed GBP to Showtime when the relationship with HBO soured. And if his boy 50 cent is to be believed than Floyd was going broke between fights during his showtime deal. They had beef but he had some of the most insight on Floyd and his spending. If that's true than what he made on the Pacquiao fight would be gone in a few years. I don't think he's broke right now but the way he spends it's really only a matter of time. Richer athletes than him have gone down the same path.
That's a lot of conjecture without any sources, tbh. Rather than working a fight-by-fight deal (with Top Rank persona non grata, there was hardly any outfit to look at for fights at welterweight beyond the names under the Golden Boy banner), you've found a way to spin things into manifesting some stuff about Floyd signing an exclusivity with Golden Boy (all while Al Haymon was working his knowledge to not have the fighters he works for being exclusive with anyone)?
50 Cent and Floyd had their beef, but recall that Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson was also the person filed a chapter 11 reorganization to slow-walk the payment of a judicial judgement (for the simple purpose of bleeding out the other party, the one in the tape, who couldn't really sit on the sidelines without seeing money for long enough to get through the reorganization, forcing settlement talks early); are we really to believe that Floyd, with Haymon and his long-time lawyer in his ear, won't have similar mechanisms in place to help protect Floyd from Floyd?
Richer athletes have ****ed up because they didn't have the structure around them to protect them from themselves.
Floyd apparently has no creditors hounding him, Floyd has his pass-through structures in place, Floyd has money locked away in silly things (collectibles, like automibles, rare watches, etc) but also a lot of sensible things (office/commercial/rental properties across the country, bond investments, etc), has active businesses that are generating money (TMT, Mayweather Promotions, Mayweather Boxing Club, and the various boutiques of his friends that he's got stakes in), is still a well-enough known name that folks are happy to pay top dollar for his appearances, and he's never put himself into a position where a woman is going to take half of his wealth.
A lot is going to have to go wrong from Floyd to ever go broke, so to call it an "a matter of time" is a bit rich.
Floyd walked away from boxing with having likely made over $600m. Even if you just count his take on the fights from JMM on, you're still looking at $400m going to Floyd (and by this point, with the Oscar and Hatton cheques already in hand, Floyd basically had his life pretty much set to last his lifetime and his children's lifetime).
Beyond drawing so much from boxing, Floyd even had someone in his ear sharp enough to get him to turn around and invest that in income-generating assets. His investments (before even the Alvarez fight, Floyd had his money socked away in assets that would allegedly pay him out $12m in dividends, every year for the rest of his life), real estate investment property all across the country, partnering with folks in business (co-investor in a small hotel property in Cincinatti), his gym, his TMT brand, his promotional company, etc.
Folks like you are so desperate to see Floyd take some kind of L that you've let your delusions cloud reality.

I dont like Floyd but im not going to pray for his downfall at the same time. It is pathetic to worry about another man's money which is what some of you are doing.
Whether he comes up or goes broke aint got **** to do with me. Im just concerened about my money.
Anyway, Floyd doesnt come off as a dumb guy and it would be real hard to go broke with 600mill.
floyd always lies about money....
when he sells his vegas mansion in 10 years you will know that is the beginning of a 30 for 30 broke floyd edition...
with the way floyd spends and gamble his money....
just watch. its only a matter of time.

LOL it's like he hates money.
You're crying about a $15k retainer yet, in the next breath, you're pointing out that Floyd has so much money that he's having trouble figuring out ways to spend it fast enough.
dude, pick a story.
I think something is going on with Floyd. For a while his gym was shut down. His Merchandise website has been down for a couple months now. And besides Badou Jack TMT fighters have been doing absolutely nothing
Floyd's last fight was September 2015; since then, according to BoxRec, Mayweather Promotions has been a part of 12 fight cards, 8 of which featuring exclusively/almost exclusively fighters fighting under the Mayweather Promotions banner. A show every month/other month, for a company that's still building paths forward, isn't all that terrible a pace (especially knowing that Jack-Degale is happening in January, J'Leon Love is likely positioned for a title eliminator for early 2017, Ronald Gavril is getting close, and Floyd still has prospects to gauge )
The gym may have been shut down (can't confirm or deny that), but the Youtube footage shows that it's open now, and there are fighters in the gym, working on sharpening things up as these dates get more finalized.
No idea what's up with their website (but I sure as heck wasn't going to buy an $800 coat or $100 hat).
He actually pays $1000 per haircut, about 2 or 3 times a week. Ridiculous really, it's not like it's a style, the guy is almost naturally bald anyway.
If that is true, then Floyd is even more stupid than I have previously given him credit for lol.
TMT has got to be leaking hard. Only thing keeping it from losing more than Roc Nation is just that he doesn't have any fighters that would get big paydays. I remember back in the day when he was with Arum, I was at Bob's house (doing electrical work not boxing stuff) and I overheard ArScum on the phone complaining that Floyd wanted him to pay for all these billboards and a wrap to cover the entire side of the MGM. "He think's he's fking Celine Dion this kid." Meanwhile, now that he's technically a promoter himself, you dont see or hear anything about his fighters. He puts no money into them but goes out on these wild spending sprees. I assure you he WILL go broke probably in the next 2 years. That's the other side of being a Mayweather.
Electrical work? You were sucking old man cock you faggot.
 thats why he wants arum to die.. he skipped out on a blow job payment.. it all makes sense now, why else would you wish for another man to die for over 10 years.
The phaggotry is strong in this one

He has a barber that travels with him for the most part. The cost of the haircut isn't really the issue; the fact that Floyd wants the barber there, to cut his hair whenever the urge to have it cut comes is where the money likely gets spent.
No different than what he was paying his chef; the meal may actually be the greatest meal ever cooked, but the fact that, if he wanted, he could be served the 'greatest meal ever' at 2:45am is the reason why the price goes up.
The sadness in your heart must be unbearable
LOL what a loser

Floyd Mayweather is traveling the world and in Europe, was supposed to have an event obligation that was going to put nearly $40k into his pocket for spending 90 minutes in a venue and taking pictures, basically said 'to hell with that, I'm going to stay in Europe and spend my own money out here', yet you want to call the man broke?
If the club is worried about the money, Floyd allegedly carries around $1m with him everywhere just because, so it's not like he's sweating it, lol.
The real issue, from what I can see, is that the club is missing out on Floyd's appearance (Floyd and his entourage were going to easily spend the appearance money in the venue, and the fact that Floyd being on the marquee would've also likely led to other high-dollar Vegas folks showing up and spending their money too).
It truly must suck to be you.
