First things first Dre needs to school Kovalev again then he might consider old man stevenson.How did Ward school him in the first fight? Kovalev threw and landed more and harder punches and knocked Ward down. The majority of fans and the media thought Kovalev deserved to win the fight. Ward didn't school him on anything but the art of grabbing, clinching and holding and hitting.

Ward needs to rematch Kovalev ASAP. If Ward wins the rematch then Stevenson is his best possible opponent. To say Stevenson isn't ready or doesn't deserve a fight with Ward isn't true. Stevenson says everything has to go through him because he is the lineal champ. Being lineal champ doesn't mean much these days and nobody else thinks everything must go through him. Most fans rate both Kovalev and Ward higher than Stevenson.

This reminds me of how Ward refused to fight Bute after the super eight. Ward is the biggest diva in boxing. He's been a pro twelve years,but has less fights than a guy like Danny Garcia. I say good riddance, with the PBC funs being low maybe Haymon will be willing to have Beterbiev or Stevenson fight Kovalev,and Ward can keep his fake trinkets.
