Yeah, no. That's a cop out. Nothing about Andre Ward shows substance usage. The testing just validates it all. I'm delighted that you don't suspect a favourite fighter of yours of PEDs. Meanwhile in the real world doping is rife, easy and hard to catch. We should suspect ALL athletes of doping. You do not even need to see contributory evidence such as unexplained IV, working with known PED enablers (Conte, Memo, Balco labs), changes in appearance, size and many other indicators to understand that there is widespread usage. PEDs are not magic and if used in a focussed manner can provide lots of advantages without showing size gain. They are particularly effective for muscle growth but their primary MO is to promote recovery which allows much more intensive training. If you train for speed and stamina whilst using steroids you will increase speed and stamina far quicker than unassisted with little or no muscle mass gain. Only poorly advised users get caught under the current rules. All the big drug cheats were caught well after the events they were competing in because they were passing the majority of the drugs tests. Year round, unpredictable testing protocols are the only way to clean up sport. Is Andre Ward using? Probably. Same as everyone else. He's a great fighter and it doesn't take away from him more than anyone else. It's just part of pro sports.

David haye looked like he put on a good chunk of muscle too in his retiement when he wasnt getting tested, certainly a substantial amount for someone to put on in there mid 30's who'd been weight training for many years Yeah this is true. It's not even considered a PED by most drs and was reluctantly put into a gradual ban phase after being around for 50 years. US fighters test dirty left and right for anabolic steroids and masking agents but we are worried about meldonium which isn't half as potent as some herbs from GNC.

yeah he's more than a known drug cheat, he's a self appointed man of ' being able to cheat the drug tests' but your explanation of ' but he's known for other stuff too ' totally destroys the former point mate :lol1: He did show how to cheat drug tests, but he was sesationalized on that account because of Bonds and the media, when he also was a nutritionist, an innovator in the field. He was well known for getting tremendous results for athletes. My point is not to talk Conte up... rather to show how ridiculous the assertion that Ward being involved with Conte implies a drug cheat relationship.
