I can see another potential UK ppv showing for GGG if DeGale beats Jack, does anybody believe GGG can mix it with the no.1 at 168 ? DeGale vs Jack is basically for super middle lineage and will give us another solid no.1 like last weekend at Vegas with Ward establishing himself the no.1 pound for pound fighter, and this weekend the top two guys facing each other again.
Does anybody feel GGG can beat the best at super middle ? After the fight versus Brook I now accept why GGG is reluctant to move up to the full weight limit of 168 and demanding 164's and 166's against geriatrics and light heavies.
I think Degale has no chance against GGG so, he was very tough against Lucian Bute. Here i want to draw attention to Lucian Bute's form too low! Despite this, Degale was very struggling. If Degale face with GGG, he loss fight badly.
Yea, when I said he was going to get stalled out and fritter away his career waiting on these guys, no one wanted to hear it. Look how his 2016 went. 2 utterly embarrassing contests in a year where they said he'd fight 3 or 4 times. He didn't unify or fight Canelo. He fought a welter who is going back to welter and another guy whose name I already forgot. For his own sake, he needs to move on. Time is a wasting...
His name was Wade, I only remember because he had same name as Deadpool got your point though, truth is next year will be the same with Heiland's and god only knows who else, I don't even hold Flounders in higher regard than Monroe, Wade and Heiland.
I hope he moves up for a DeGale ppv.
Agreed. He should move up now and fight the 168 lb Champs and strengthen his resume. It is pretty clear that Oscar will let Canelo fight him only once he feels that he's ripe for the picking.

I think it only makes sense, all the way around.
-UK boxing is hot, go where the money is.
-GGG gets major credit for beating DeGale, and a loss against a larger champ isn't the end either.
-Degale gets himself in prime-time if he beats Golovkin. And, if he loses, it was Golovkin. No shame.
I personally think GGG takes this and it's a much better option than waiting around on fighters who clearly don't want to fight him right now. How many months is he going to throw away being stalled out by these guys? Hello folks, Canelo is not fighting him any time soon. At 34, he doesn't have the time to waste.

Personally think Degale could box rings around him, however his own lackadaisical attitude of taking rounds off and languishing on the ropes could potentially get him ko'd.
Its either a win on points or he gets stopped toss up imo.
DeGale cuts too easily, size would not be an issue for GGG with his natural disadvantage he's busted Bute up already and shown he can marshall guys like Murray around in the pros too, I'm not sold by DeGale and feel he'll likely want GGG to prove himself ultimately even if he won he'd get no credit for beating the Kazakh puncher.
I'm meh with DeGale but he can box, seems to have a lazy attitude, he needs an ass kicker in there, he'd be great with someone like Virgil Hunter.
yeah, well you know im a pretty big ggg fan, to annoying levels for many lol. But same as you i cant really get too hyped for another year at middleweight. If he got jacobs, saunders, canelo in the ring that would be great but its not going to happen, to be honest he'd be lucky to get one of them in. I genuinely think groves or degale would take the fight at SMW, think they probably saw enough vulnerability in GGG against brook for them to think theyve got a chance of beating him, hence groves calling him out. Im not sold on callum smith yet, a lot to prove. ONly problem is i know what will happen when he gets to SMW, people will then call him a ducker for not fighting the killers at light heavy.
I actually think Groves could cause GGG a lot of problems the more I think of it, I completely forget about him every time I debate GGG at 168, Groves ain't no creme puff.

yeah ive changed my stance on his weight really, i would like to see him move up to 168. Because noone at 160 really seems that interested in fighting him, and he cant afford another year like last year where hes waiting for these middleweights and ducknelo to grow a pair of balls. Needs to make some serious moves in the next two years, groves called him out so i wouldnt mind seeing that as his next fight. Super middle isnt star studded but the alternative is that he could end up hanging about at 160 wasting his career waiting for a fight thats never going to happen with canelo
He's gonna have to, Canelo ain't going for it with him. As much as I'd like to see GGG give him a royal ass fückin I'm just not interested as I'm not interested in seeing push Jacobs or Flounders shyt in either.
Anyone who says he didnt fight the best if he moves up before facing them are absolute clowns of the highest order if he has to move up because he couldn't get them in the ring, Jacobs, Flounders and Canelo have proved nothing more than the likes of Lemiuex, Geale and Murray, Murray was arguably the lineal champ, it's all irrelevant and by the by.
I know he'll struggle getting Jack but if DeGale beats Jack he can get that guy with K2's repute with Hearn and Zurdo should be easy to strike a deal with dealing with Arum, easier than dealing with Haymon anyway.
People completely misinterpret my dissatisfaction with GGG, it's all documented I am a fan, I was a huge fan I just tire of uncompetitive action I can't get excited over one sided fights. The writing was on the wall after the way he dealt with Geale I realised then he had to move up or at least I wanted him to move up.
Smith I genuinely think is the only one south of 175 who will slow him or stop him in his tracks, he's very raw though so I certainly would not bank on it, I'd favour GGG at this stage at 168 versus that beast. Though I don't think he'd beat any of the top three at light heavy at a 171-172 CW.
His hardcore detractors will argue 168 is empty and a dead division but beating the top three guys after clearing out 160 books him as an ATG imo, you can only fight what's in front of you and I'm sure a catch weight can be worked between the pound for pound king Andre Ward at 171-172, wouldn't expect GGG to be stopped there but I think he'd lose on points.
golovkin beats degale. bute and medina gave degale hell. Supermiddle is a pretty weak division now, people who think GGG is going to lose at super middle will be very dissapointed.
That's just it I don't think he will, hence my disappointment he hangs around 160 and will retire a perennial under achiever having wasted his prime years fighting cans, bums and waiting for Cameltoè, a fight I don't believe will happen and even if it does who does it benefit except GGG and his team ? Real boxing fans have no interest in one sided beat downs hence why their is no interest in Jacobs either.
When GGG moves up to 168 I will shout for him as I did before, don't want him going to 175 either those guys would maim him, be one that interests me is Callum Smith vs GGG at 168 a fight I find hard to call.
For me GGG beats Jack, DeGale and Zurdo, likely drops or stops them too.

I don't see the Canelo fight happening, he's earning too much money to be stopped in his tracks and have his marketability damaged by an absolute destroyer at 160. I don't blame Canelo but then I don't really care, I understand why he does not want it.
Clock is ticking for GGG to earn that big money he can't go to light heavy as he loses and he can't get the money at 160, Hearn and DeGale is the perfect fit for him, then of course he can get another one in versus Smith, look for Smith to miraculously become injured before DeGale vs Smith is ordered.
Isnt Callum Smith next for the winner?
That's the interesting part, DeGale beats Jack, GGG beats DeGale and GGG has to vacate or lose to Smith, likelihood is Smith vs GGG happens and Hearn has his new ppv star he began plotting to build when he threw Brook under the bus versus GGG.
Clever stuff.
Jack will beat Degale so Degale vs GGG won't happen anytime soon.
If that did happen it would be interesting, because although Floyd says GG is basic, straight up and down fighter etc i bet he won't let GGG near him.
I could be wrong, but actions speak louder than words.
