Fighters in the past (like 5-15 or so years ago) were making more and they weren't draws. I don't remember seeing people mad at those fighters.

I'm sure there's some side deals going on there that isn't in the purse. Or probably an extension for more money. Manny's official purse is usually a lot lower than what he makes. Chavez was offered more money against GGG with an extra fight extension or a lower purse with no fight.

The 550,000 could come with extra strings attached, I am sure there is more to the picture though one way or another. That or he realized he needed to fight to make money and 300k is not that bad for a couple months work.
