I scored it wide for Ward on the night, scored it for Kovalev after rewatching.

Kovalev landed the best punch in rnd 10 last minute and never trailed in the punch count ,i think Ward maybe won rnd 3 even but he lost rnd 12 the same reason he lost 10 . Either way i see Ward needing a k.o after rnd 6 with the knock down. Well, you might've of been overwhelmed by Kovalev's start. And I disagree about Kovalev landing the best shot in the 10th. I also gave the 12th to Ward.

See, I give Ward the 5th and every round 7 and up. I gave the 3rd to Kovalev, which is debatable. And I guess you can make a case for the 10th but I really don't see it. kov landed more punches in roudn 10 and 12, landed the best punch in roudn 10 and had ward hurt in roudn 12. why would ward win those rounds?

Come on, bro, you can't be serious. Ward clearly won, although it certainly was close. Ward is the P4P number 1. To say he CLEARLY won is not accurate at all IMO and I'm the biggest S.O.G. fan. I was at the fight and it could've gone either way.

The simple thing is to turn off the volume perio when scoring fights. Networks dont matter theres always at least one commentator that takes away from whats actually happening . Any credible person can see giving Ward the fight with no commentator interference is not logical ,those who really watched the fight more than once and still think Ward won have to be in denial ,theres no ther answer other than they are just trolling or simply dont want to back track. P.S Ledermans scoring was pretty accurate ,for those thinking he was way off. Lederman's card was way off. He gave Kovalev the 9th. With that being said, what rounds did you give Kovalev?

You could have a twelve round fight were every single round is close. Yet one fighter could win every round and the card end 120-108. A close fight doesn't automatically mean a close scorecard, nitwit.

lets not call everything equal when its not. one guy was initiating the fouls. punish him and the other fouls won't exist. you think kov's strategy was to headlock ward in order to win the fight? no it was to box, on the otehr hand wards strategy was to clinch and punch off the clinches. illegal. ref should have stopped it. kov was headlocking in order to prevent ward from cheating. thats not the same as cheating as a fight strategy.I agree but many don't know that grabbing a guy and holding him with one hand while pounding away with the other hand is illegal. You can legally punch a guy who is holding you but you can't hold him first and then start punching.It seems like many referees also don't know this tactic is illegal or choose not to enforce that rule.

Youw, Can you debunk or at least dispute my round by round detailed coverage of the fight man? Because I need to bask in the glory of your boxing knowledge. Round 1 - Kovalev and Ward was watching each other at the first minute of the round, Ward jabbing but not overreaching but landing some good jabs while Kov counters his own. Kov landed a stunning Jab and wobbles Ward, and proceeds to dominate the rest of the Round (10-9 KOV) Round 2 - Kovalev out boxing Ward, Landing Jabs at will, and Ward overreached and got clipped with a right hand that stuns him and knocks him down, Kov tries to KO him but didn't (10-8 KOV) Round 3 - Kovalev having a bad time early with Ward jabbing him and hitting him constantly. He then regains compusure and gets back to his jab and lands a right on his own. Left hook lands for Ward but Kovalev catches him with a Jab and clips him with a right hand that sends him to the ropes. Close Round but It was clear Kovalev (10-9 KOV) Round 4 - Kovalev not overreaching, not allowing Ward to try and wait for counter, feinting constantly, then lands a Jab that snaps Ward's head back. Ward lands a jab but was ineffective. (10-9 KOV) Round 5 - Ward being patient and counters Kovalev with a big left hook when he tried to Jab, and pushes Kovalev back. Kovalev tries to answer but Ward kept him at bay of the Jab and gets to clinch him and do the inside work and that was the story of the round. (10-9 WARD) Round 6 - Kovalev regains his composure and stops ward from trying to get on the inside, using the jab to keep off him. He clips Ward with the jab only to stop him inside , and Ward clinches, but Kovalev landed a short right hand behind the ear and jabs Ward back. (10-9 Kovalev) Round 7 - Kovalev seemingly gassing gets clipped with a left hook and gets pushed back, and ward proceeds to use the jab to keep him off his agression and does so effectively. Kovalev just following Ward and Ward capitilizes by Jabbing his head back and clipping him with a left hook. (10-9 WARD) Round 8 - Kovalev seemingly dazed, Ward proceeds to use the left hook and the jab effectively, trying to avoid the big right hand. Kovalev kept on following him and Ward capitilizes by landing a big left hook, though Kovalev seemingly not affected was not able to answer as ward uses the jab to keep him off. (10-9 WARD) Round 9 - Kovalev Still was not able to regain his composure and uses his jab to keep ward off, Ward did not use much jabs but was rushing in to the inside, and was able to use left hooks to the body and upstairs when they broke the clinch. Ward captilizes on the inside and wins the round. (10-9 WARD) Round 10 - Kovalev now used the jab constantly and was catching ward every time he tries to get in the inside, and in his answer Ward tried to jab back but tt was kovalev who gets in the more effecient Jabs and a short right hand that landed behind his ear. (10-9 KOV) Round 11 - Ward doing much better in the round, using his inside work in the clinch and landing left hooks to the body and upstairs on kovalev, Kovalev was not able to answer, as he missed most his punches. (10-9 WARD) Round 12 - Kovalev being much more aggressive with the Jab and sometimes rushes in to ward and lands a left straight that snapped Wards head. Ward tries to jab back but eats a jab as he did, tohugh landing some. Right hand on the cheek ends the round. (10-9 KOV) Consensus - 115-112 Kovalev win. Come on, man, just debunk it. Traditionally this has always been the case (usually). But then, there are posters saying it's not necessary. No other fighter, fighting the way Ward did would have gotten the nod (that I can think of). Kovalev's power and skill isn't going anywhere. And for people to think Ward will beat him easier next time must be high. He didn't throw anything to hurt or even stun Kovalev. I think he'll be prepared to walk through whatever Ward throws. It's very possible for Ward to get Ko'd. Both will make adjustments but it won't be easier for Ward, which is what I see people saying.This poster says it's not necessary to give the champion any edge in scoring a title fight and it is wrong and unfair to the challenger. Pascal said after his draw with Hopkins that as the champion all the close rounds should have gone to him. A title fight is scored no differently than any other fight and the winner of a round gets that round even if it was close. Scoring the fight as I would score any fight I had Kovalev a clear winner in a fairly close fight.

You should try to ignore the guys calling the fight when you are scoring that fight.
