Kovalev-Ward, heading in, hinged on Kovalev's ability/inability to land that big right hand clean; Ward, outside of the one counter shot, basically being able to take that away from Kovalev won him the fight.
Ward-Stevenson, were it to happen, would be fought on similar parallels; Stevenson's chances hinging on his ability/inability to land that left hand clean.
The intrigue factor comes from knowing (if you've paid much attention) that Stevenson has maybe 6/7 different ways to set up his left hand, Ward would have to be bent on negating all of the options for the full fight, and Stevenson may not need more than to land one of the bombs to really change the outcome of the fight.
Still think Ward wins the fight, but it'll be a technical thriller the whole way.
I always sleep on Steveson a bit, but then when i watch him i'm reminded about that special kind of power he carries.
I'd never completely rule him out, but i think both Ward and Kovalev beat him.
He doeshave some freakish power behind his punches I wouldn't rule him out.

Different type of fight, Stevenson can box a bit and he packs dynamite in the left hand, its quick and powerful and I have no doubt that left hand could take anyone out, including Kovalev and Ward. But if you play the odds you have to go with Ward, and Kovalev if Stevenson fought them, they are more versatile and complete.
