George Groves' next two fights:
Eduard Gutknecht, 30-4-1 (13 KO) ~ WBA International title defence ~
Fedor Chudinov, 14-1 (10 KO) ~ vacant WBA Super title ~
That's a pretty underwhelming way to become a paper champion.
Dirk have some weird opinions ,i see him here and there on forum and i think we should go easy on him :trink26:
George vs GGG would be explosive match up,GGG chin would be tested ,Groves can punch o Boy ,he hurt Froch couple times and Floored him Badly, anybody who do it to Froch can punch.:boxing:
Agreed. Great post.
Golden Goose Gennady should avoid Groves especially now he has a real trainer who has an eye for the most minute details. Groves can be a genuine force yet.
Groves will become world champion, the McGuigan's are great trainers, Fitzpatrick is one of the worst trainers going along with Joe Gallagher. I also think Sturm is well passed so Chudinov beating him twice isn't that much of an incredible feat, if Darren Barker hadn't messed up his hip I would've had him to beat Sturm when they fought for Darren's IBF title. If Groves fights Chudinov I think he stops him.
So because Dirk is menstrating because DeGale isn't given the respect he feels he should be given we should take it easy on Dirk ? Lol, ok. I know he is sensitive.
I rate Groves he could potentially give Golden Goose Gennady a tough fight at the weight too if that guy ever grows a pair of balls and moves up.

You're right, Dirk should ignore me, Diggler hasn't got it in him though he's too sensitive to ignore me.

I'm getting annoyed with these comments.
You can't go balls to the wall for 12 rounds straight when you're a decision fighter. Simple logic.
Unless you're on drugs of course.
Don't get annoyed Dirk.
Groves is as naturally talented as the likes of Haye & is one of the slickest UK white boys ever. McGuigans are good at perfecting the boxer/puncher style & are a perfect fit for Groves. Problem with pre McGuigan Groves was he had pacing issues & was too confident in his natural ability without it being properly sculptured. He was probably stopped too early Froch I & if he had had a little more experience & restraint he would have been on the verge of a one side whooping over Froch. He also out thought/fought Degale & was a whisker away from beating Jack with Fitzpatrick who IMO was a terrible fit for him. He is to date a massive underachiever & may never reach his full potential but i wouldn't write him off yet.
I think he would beat DeGale again, DeGale goes missing for large swathes of the fight and has as many questions over his durability and stamina and Georgie does. They both know how to lose and don't appear to learn, I just think Georgie would want it that bit more after DeGale made it personal.
DeGale hasn't the power Froch has and he cuts exceptionally easily, Groves could even potential stop him, the new trainer Groves has will have him operating at a level he has never worked at before.

Why are people sleeping on Chudinov? hes top 3 @ 168 he beat Sturm twice ( nvm the robbery ) plus he already beat a Brit at Wembley ( Frank Buglioni ) bwahahahaha!

That'd be beyond a joke even by the WBA standards. Chudinov has had a sh1t deal over the Sturm thing, but there's no way on earth he should be considered the 'Super champion' - a title introduced solely for Unified champions and expanded to include Champions with 5 or more defences in 2010 (apparently for the sole purpose of elevating Sturm so he didn't have to fight GGG). Chudinov is neither of these things, though the WBA have got themselves tied in knots cos they obviously already have a 'Regular' Champ in Zeuge
In fact Sturms elevation to 'Super' Champ at 168 is as inexplicable as it it was at 160 - he'd not even had the requisite 5 defenses that was the fig leaf for his elevation at MW... corruption at it's finest is my guess.
Ah... anyway. Rant over. Bunch of BS if you ask me. Either way they shouldn't have Fedor as 'super' best bet would probably be to mandate some form of title play-off between Zeuge, Chudinov, Groves and Kashtanov to get the mess cleared up, but then this is the WBA we're talking about so your guess is as good as mine.
EDIT. My bad, it seems that it was Fedor that was elevated to Super Champ, sometime between 26/9/15 and 9/1/16 which is equally absurd.
I think he should not become a world champion as easy as that... I mean he is one of this boxers which is good but not good enough... he failed every time he had a chance ( a bit like Kevin mitchells career). It is crazy how boxrec rank him number 3 in the divisional and Badou Jack number 12... I would rank Groves about number 8 or 7 ... and that is in a weak division(in my opinion)which Ward and Froch left, Abraham is probably near retirement and the only top guys are Badou Jack Degale and Ramirez. To me Groves seems like a small supermiddle, may be he could go down to middle weight looking for big fights but I see him getting KOd by guys like Canelo and GGG...
