He's got dudes shook and it seems like he's getting the Golovkin treatment.
Skilled boxer with power (although he is on the boxer side of the boxer/puncher spectrum). He just needs good opponents and more exposure.
But I keep hearing the same excuses. "Who has he fought?" "He's not well known," "He hasn't earned a big fight yet," "No financial incentive," etc. smfh
How the fúck is he going to get famous enough to secure a big fight if none of the top WWs want anything to do with him?
Has he fallen into that high risk/low reward trap that Golovkin's been in the last few years?

This is a load of bollocks, not to mention Spences likely opponents are managed by the same man who runs his career. If those fights aren't getting made it's because his own manager doesnt give a ****.
Thurman and Garcia are fighting next year.
Porter is available, Berto, Peterson, Alexander, Khan, plus the cab driver that beat Guerrero. Who else is there for him?
yeah because he should be at 154. This ^^^ .A lot of the time these guys make aversions about their height or reach. For example Thurman is really 5"6 1/2. Spence is a legit 5"10 with a huge frame.
Actually he isn't ranked 1st by every place. Boxrec has him 7th, the IBF has him 1st, the WBA has him 4th and the WBO has him 3rd. Still with 21 straight wins and 18 KOs and having beaten some good fighters he is a worthy challenger for any of the current champions. I know all the champion have good fights now so I hope Spence gets his chance to be a champion in the near future.
I woundnt call him the boogieman just no one has to face him yet, let him get a strap and lets see how much he is avoided. To get a strap someone who has a strap has to fight him. So far all of the strap holders have turned him down flat in spite of his number 1 ranking.
Not yet. As much as I hate hearing from other fighters he hasn't accomplished anything I can understand why they wouldn't want to fight him without a belt on the line. If they keep saying that after he wins the belt then I'll agreeBut if none of the current champions agree to fight him then he will never be able to win a belt to put on the line. It's frustrating to me to see the guy I think is the best welterweight in the world be a permanent contender while lesser welterweights than him hold the world titles.
Yes he is the welterweight boogieman quite similar to GGG. None of the welterweight champions or top contenders will fight him for any reasonable amount of money because they are afraid of losing to him or getting knocked out. I think their fear is justified because he is that good. He will beat any welterweight and his hardest task will be to get them to sign the contract. Just like GGG in the middleweights. Will Bradley, Brook,Pacquiao, Thurman, Garcia or Vargas fight Spence? I doubt it.
Porter seems like the type who wouldn't duck anyone. Hopefully we can get Porter-Spence. :boxing::boxing:
That would be an awesome matchup.
Errol would likely engage more than Thurman did, making for a more exciting fight, and it would be a great test for Spence.
Porter's dad was asked about Spence, he seemed real hesitant. He doesn't want his boy getting worked
Gotcha. Well if he can't get a Shawn Porter in the ring with him...then maybe he will be pretty avoided....

Errol Spence, Jr. is a serious contender, but people are already starting to give him the Jeff Lacy treatment. He could do with taking on a couple of top 20 fighters, step up his level of opposition. He could look flawless in victor over someone like Andre Berto or Brandon Rios. It scares me though, to think what someone like Lamont Peterson or Jessie Vargas would do to him. He certainly isn't ready for the top 5 yet.
Floyd got his first title shot in his 18th fight at 21 years of age. 2 years as a pro.
Not saying it's an apples to apples comparison, but was that just one of the perks of being in the Arum stable?
yeah he is.
but the current WBC silver champion keep calling him out tho

Isn't that a good fight I Spence win he can be next in line for Garcia/Khan winner
I don't look at it like that, it is a young guy working his way up, sure everybody sees his talent but he is not a big money fight or a Champion yet so let him continue to work his way up and the Big Matches will come eventually.
Fans this ERA kinda don't want fighters toe earn anything we just want to Push whoever we like into stardom overnight. I'm OK with Spence Jr working his way up, sucks that he has to wait for the IBF and Brook to make a decision what he wants to do after he is healthy :nonono:
Spence Jr will get his time all he has to do is Keep Winning!
