Klitschko and K2 have managed to snatch defeat out of boxing fans' jaws of victory...Wladimir is walking away from a done deal to fight Joshua for big $$$ and will instead fight 37-year-old Lucas Browne (who turned pro at age 30) for the WBA title. Thanks for nothing, Wlad.
No Golovkin-Jacobs on December 10 either. No big surprise here though...HBO was the one pushing for an unrealistically early December 10 date for Golovkin-Jacobs.
Now that Klitschko has set December 10 as the firm date for his next fight, it would have been extremely unlikely that GGG would have fought on the same date; K2 and Loeffler can't be in two places at once. GGG is now targeting first quarter of 2017 for the Jacobs fight.
Until then, we have Luis Ortiz-Malik Scott and BHop-Smith to hold us over...
What a shamefull duck of Lara. GGG rather fight nobody on December than face the divisions' biggest threat.
Lara, Should move up have a couple fights with lower tier fighters then GGG. But anyhow…

Bunch of BS
Godamn disgusting move by both sides. Jacobs for being scared for some reason, and GGG for allowing challengers to dictate dates. Just waiting for Kov/Ward to be pushed back to close out a suck balls 2016.
Well if he picks up another belt, he can reenter negotiations with Joshua and ask for 50/50.
As it stands he's the B-Side without the belt. With the WBA strap though, they'll have to pay him.
That's not gonna happen though is it?
Wlad will win the strap and refuse to leave Germany again, he'll demand a king's ransom and a slave contract to fight any of the big guns, especially at this stage of his career.
Wlad is an arsèhole when it comes to negotiating, so many different people have said it for it not to be true, and all this WBA nonsense proves it. Whether he fights for the WBA or IBF it's still only going to be for one title, and he held the IBF for much longer so you'd think that is the belt he treasures more. The reason he won't take it is because he just doesn't fancy fighting Joshua in England and the only reason he's considering it now is because Joshua brings a belt and a ton of money. You can bet when Wlad beats Fred Oquendo or Lucas Browne for a vacant strap and he won't even entertain the idea of fighting Joshua or Wilder.
The guy is a shíthouse.
I had massive respect for him, but this really is a bítch move to take on a lesser opponent for an easier belt.

Makes no sense.
Klitschko has already made a money deal with Joshua. He is fine with the money he's getting paid...and he won't be getting more money later by virtue of a B.S. win of Lucas Browne.
Klitschko is taking the easy way out.
I don't even get my hopes up anymore.
In Boxing, if a fight sounds really good, chances are it won't happen or you'll have to wait a little longer to see it.
Sadly im the same it to much to ask for fughts at the right time

Wlad is b side to Joshua? Really? So Wlad is nothing without a belt? Hope that isn't the case.
Joshua is most certainly getting the bigger split based off what I read. Wlad is getting a lot, but he's not getting the Lion's share. Especially since the fight is in England and Joshua is the champion.
Really hope Team Wlad is better than that, if this is true then what's the point? Unless fans in Germany are happy to see Wlad walking down the tunnel in his shoulder pad knocking low/over matched out.

Money is not an issue for Klitschko.
The belts matter to him because he loses bargaining power without them.
With two belts he can dictate terms to other fighters, and champions, instead of just taking 50/50 splits with other champions like he did with David Haye back in 2011. As it stands, without the belt he's the B-Side to Joshua.
As for Jacobs. Haymon could still put up a massive bid.

If this is true K2 really just dropped the ball
For what its worth, I am pretty sure that Golovkin and Klitschko have seperate representation for their fights. K2-East or K2-Ukraine (whatever its called) operates separately from the US wing which Tom Loefler runs. For example, Klitschko and his team don't really represent or negotiate on behalf GGG and I don't believe Loefler has had any involvement with guys like Usyk (until he were to fight in the US).
I've gotta side with Wlad on this until proven otherwise - Eddie Hearn has come out with 147 different versions of this story, and I don't believe 147 of them.
AJ is going to have to wait a little bit longer to have an opponent above club level on his resume.
