Between these three who will history rank higher?
Each have an argument in their favor....
Hopkins unified 160 and moved up to have success
Mayweather went undefeated, multiple weight classes
Pacquiao fought many classic fights with top level comp, moved up multiple divisions
They'll likely retire around the same time "officially" and are the closest to ATG status at this stage.....(an outside argument can be made for Roy Jones, though he's surely f'ing that up right now, true fans know how great he was)
It's not a reach for Hopkins to be included in in the mix...
Hopkins deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Pac and May. So does Jones Jr.
Base it off of potential, longevity, resume, how the fighter looked against certain opponents, common opponents.
Say Hopkins met each of them at 154....that would have made for an interesting debate....
pac recently beat floyd and bradley. what's wrong with that? i know floyd was old and he had already beaten bradley but they were 2 of the best.
you'v got to be careful not to swallow after gurgling. it makes you post stupid things

:lol1::lol1:
Agree with this.
objective historians/media/journalists almost always have Floyd ahead of Bhop and Manny. I don't see what either of the 3 have done recently to change this.

i prefer great fights vs great prime opposition.
that means pacquiao.
if you prefer exquisite spoiling tactics, you go with bernard.
floyd DESPITE not leaving great exciting tapes vs great IN PRIME opposition, at least left great tapes for defensive teaching....
resume wise,
bernard is obviously behind both floyd and manny ATG rankings wise....
now, who ranks higher?
Floyd or Manny?
If you are looking for a pc answer its floyd with the "perfect" record...
If you want the real answer its pacquiao.
Pacquiao went up the hard way unlike floyd who was babied by top rank,
Pacquiao had to go through prime MAB, MORALES, and Marquez just to get babied by top rank....
Floyd has always been protected from the day he was borne... borne to a pro boxing family, in the most powerful and richest nation on earth....
Pacquiao has great in prime opposition along with leaving us great exciting legendary fights vs legendary prime opposition.
Floyd left us boring tapes vs pat prime opposition......
At least when roy jones jr. was king and fought bums, he knocked bums out and put on a show....
Floyd fights past prime bums and cant even put on a show. He fights them like he's fighting prime tommy hearns.....
:lame:
lol at the bias. Floyd being the first to beat a cuban in 20 years and then being cheated out of the gold was being babied?
And he grew up rich? yeah because shooting your relatives while theyre holding a baby and going to prison for 5 years for drug trafficking is something rich families do. A contender and a belt holder from the 80s were insanely rich.

know your place boy.
insults indicate a weak argument for you position
major Loss...fail/
you cant dispute a thing i said legitimately
take it like a man, baby boy...you dont know shyt about boxing
Mayweather because he never lost a fight and made more money and became more famous than either Hopkins or Pacquiao. Pacquiao was and is very famous but I think Mayweather is even more famous. When they fought Mayweather got payed more money than Pacquiao and he won the fight even though he was the older boxer.
depends on who is doing the ranking..all lists will be different depending on who is doing the ranking and what they prefer
Agree with this.

Tarver was as old as Roy dude. Tarver also we don't know or not was juicing when he beat Roy. So we can't say. But that is Hopkins best win, True or Not?
tarver turned pro when he was 28 and was on the best run of his career. how could he not be prime? so you are saying he didn't have a prime?
I do think for myself and I also apologize. I wasn't aware that such an inoccuous phrase could shake your core so deeply. I used that phrase as humor. You know, like it's was ironic that I recently just had this very same conversation. I certainly wasn't using it towards any cache, typically when someone does that they name drop. I'm not sure what ultra prime means, if you're no longer in your prime you're passed. It's pretty black and white. I would've loved to have seen Pacquiao take on a prime MAB, he didn't,oh well no harm,no foul.
LMAO...

lol at boxing insider.
i dont need my opinions augmented by other people's thoughts.
i can think for myself.
was MAB ultra prime when pac first fought him?
OF COURSE NOT.
Was he past prime????
OF COURSE NOT.
Was he still prime?
Yes.
He was under 20 and despite the MORALES WARS was still in great shape as evidenced by his long winning streak BEFORE losing to pacquiao, AND AFTER LOSING TO PACQUIAO.
LOL at boxing insider.
Im a boxing INSIDER.
I box.

No i stand Corrected Daggum. He did beat a prime Tito. Forgot completely. I was sure Tito would drill BHop. Didn't happen. He did beat Pavlik too, but not sure how big of a win that was.
