If Pirog did not retire I wonder what the Middleweight division look like today. He got stripped of the WBO title because he chose to fight Golovkin but got injured during training and subsequently had to retire. Would he of beaten GGG? Or would he be the Marquez to GGGs Pacquiao? Would Pirog of been ducked by Cotto?? Would Golovkin still be relavent? What do you guys think?
Pirog GGG would undoubtedly have happened by now that's a given, I'd fancy Pirog to have defeated GGG on points after the troubles Ouma and Monroe gave GGG. Stevens with the small stature gave GGG issues landing clean and the way Pirog fought he'd utilise ultra effective body movement with devastating offence.
Pirog had that loosy goosy defense and will stay in the pocket.
He looked like the drunken master and he made it work for him. Also he had good power.
He would had given problems to a lot of fighters. How many fighters you know fight like that?
I don't see many live bodies on Kovalev's resume.
His biggest win was 50 years old:lol1:
Cleverly and Pascal arent exactly Blow up dolls. But really who did Ward fight after the super 6 where all these names were already contracted. Yes he won the thing but getting those names to commit was like falling and landing in a pool of marshmellows.
And then GGG was too weak to take social media call outs seriously and face that Cuban that 500 people barely give a sh*t about.
Don't mention the Cuban....it brings the Trolls....we must all remember that the Cuban is the greatest slickest southpaw that GGG would have faced if only he had the guts to take him on in a marathon.
I member...Member Ward saying 3 tune up fights? I member. Member when Ward couldn't commit because of sueing his management, his shoulder, his knee? I member. Member when Ward didnt fight a live body for 3 years? I member....

Where do you guys think Derevyanchenko will fit into the current middle weight landscape if he can get fights?
Too early to tell with him only 8 fights into his career but at least he is in the US already.
Guys, you remember the Andre Ward fight that didn't happen? What a debacle!

I'm a big fan of Golovkin but I can't say for certain that he would have beat Pirog. Very possibly, but maybe not. I'd be very interested to see that fight if Pirog wasn't retired.
