Its because these fighters are demanding too much money and don't want to fight tough fights unless they get obscene paychecks. Haymon created this environment and now the sport is a mess. Everyone saw the Andre Berto treatment and they all want hat he got. But there is no money anymore. The only reason guys lioe Berto got the $ was because the networks would make the $ back on ppv. Without ppv there is no money, so why should networks pay for these guys? Problem Is promoters promised their fighters big paychecks when things were good. If they cant oay the contracted fees the fighters can break the contract. So promoters are just keeping them inactive instead. This sport is a complete fcking mess. It's not all haymons fault, but the majority of it is.

It always sucks when a good fighter has to waste his prime on bs shenanigans

The thing we complain about the most is boxers seeming unwilling to take chances. The boxing world is waiting on someone to step up and take over. I wrote a thread last week comparing the current under 30 resumes to those of Floyd at the same age. If he retired at 28 his yresume would still be twice as good as these current fighters 30 and under. These fighters have done nothing to even deserve the opportunity to get the torch passed. Look at what Floyd and Manny had done when Oscar gave them the opportunity and look at what these current fighters have done that you're campaigning for. It doesn't even compare. They haven't even earned the opportunity. im talking about popularity,Id Thurman wins with Danny and spence he wont be star,if he wins with Floyd thats another story and we have big star born,you get me.

I would have liked to see him fight one more time this year, but at least Crawford fought twice this year. And there's only 2 and half months left in 2016. If he took a stay busy fight against a bum, people would just call him a cherry picker. Fans will b1tch about anything. We can just hope for a better year in 2017.
