Some people here seem to believe that Mayweather doesn't belong in the top 30. I have limited knowledge of history, maybe someone here can point me to 10 fighters who had a better resume than Floyd Mayweather. Your help is greatly appreciated.
do you acnkowledge he didnt defend his titles as much as floyd? stop beading around the bush....i wasnt on boxrec reading off a list of opponents i just went off the top of my head
since you got all he stats post them and you'll see, outside of collecting trinkets in different weights, floyd has the edge in every category
either way, his numbers and stats surpass Manny, so what point are you trying to proof?
Why are you getting your panties in the air? You said something which was dead incorrect and I corrected you. Now you are deflecting to a different topic which had nothing to do with what I originally pointed out or what you originally said.
Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran, Alexis Arguello, Julio Cesar Chavez, Sr., Oscar De La Hoya, Willie Pep, Marco Antonio Barrera, Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez, Erik Morales, Harry Greb, Henry Armstrong, George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, Felix Trinidad, Jake LaMotta, Sam Langford, Hector Camacho, Pernell Whitaker, Azumah Nelson, Bob Foster, Joe Frazier, Kostya Tzsyu, James Toney, Roy Jones, Jr., Bernard Hopkins, Archie Moore....
looooooooool
Well i heard there was an agreement for it to go to a decision, to save face for Ketchell. They didnt want their white hope getting embarassed and manhandled.
he clocked jack God, he said "fvck that" and the rest is history
thats what ive always been told anyway
you could tell from the footage they have that he was carrying Stanley...literally. Johnson toyed and mocked many opponents
Yes but im almost sure that if Ketchell was Jacks size he could win his better boxer imo, it seems that from 1900 to like 50s WWs and MWs was casualy fighting in HW lmao
I yeah its Ketchel,he never lost his mw crown but was his comp so good? btw is this true that he fixed fight with Jack ,it was supposed to be UD for Jack but not Ko ,Ketchel broke rules and Kd Jack ,Hw champ get mad and koed him.were they still friends after ?He died Young doe he could be Great.

I seriously can't. I just wish he had fought De La hoya and Mosley a tad earlier.....
Floyd is older than PACroid.
Without roids PAC Aint sh1t.
Meth head Manny.
De la Hoya was a good fight.
It's manny that weight drained Oscar and fought him.
PAC should fight Thurman, or other top guys and stop cherry picking slow plodding guys.
stanley ketchel?

Well never said he is not good, faced oponents and resiliance is Impressiv, but When i see him in top 20-30 i dont agree Also Kutchel is to high for me .
stanley ketchel?
archie moore is historically a little overrated
he did lose to most of his best opposition but he gets points because he had the resilience to become and remain champion a long time after his best years
Hopkins all time placement, and reputation reminds me of moore
sometimes people overlook his losses but he lost to some great fighters, good ones, and a couple decent ones
he is one of the greatest 175ers ever but not the best ever....Charles dominated him, he always had trouble with speed and movement but he was definitely a treat to watch, subtle moves, tricks, and slipped shots beautifully

you mean something like Archi?he was HoFer for sure but nothing bigger then JMM for example, and his ranked to high by many people for sure,he lost with the best fighters he faced,

oh no i wasnt pointing out a particular fighter, especially not Robinsons resume...sometimes people get enamored by the quantity and not the quality, was my point

Still more credit for Lamotta 6x then for Pac even 3 times, and 6x Lamotta is only part of his great Resume its unbelivable how tough was fighters bavk then and they wanted to be the best fighthing arch rivals not once but 3 or 5 times to prove who is the best no daubt. And its not like it was easy the was fighting in Bloody wars many time a year, some of this 20s fights are much brutal then Gatti-Ward,and it was only one of many for them. And now fighters are shoot after 1 or 2,Boxin was much better then.
Angot2x,Zivic2x,Armstrong,Lamotta 6x ,Kid Gavilian 2x,Bobo Olson many times idk how many xD,Turpin,Graziano,Basilio,Fullmer,Villemain ,Fusari
He even Tried to beat ****ing Maxim and fought Archer when he was past it,it must be best resume ever,so its far from bums.

different era
they also fought like 2 times a month back then and fought a lot of bums too.
JCC had an old school record but it also mirrored many resumes of the past.
if you have 100 fights you better have at least 10 legit opponents.
look at julio cesar chavez record, he is a champion with 60 or more fights at some point fighting guys with less than 10 fights, losing records, and mexican cab drivers
quality>quantity.

Yes you were wrong.

6 times I think. From reading about the fights, Robinson came out 5-1 winner in the series but never really looked dominant until the 'St Valentines Day Massacre'.
Robinson had fought Jake Lamotta (x4), Sammy Angott (x2), Fritzie Zivic (x2) and Henry Armstrong before he had even won his first title :lol1: Admittedly from what I have read he badly ducked early on, but still that was only 4 years of being a pro.
Jesus he did more in 4 years Then most present boxer will ever does
Holyfield, SRL, Greb, Morales, Robinson, Ali & Pac have some of the greatest resumes for me. In fact Pacquiao's run from featherweight to light middleweight was probably one of the most impressive thing's I've seen in boxing.
Aw man. The rematch, RJ coming out to the party.
It really solidified RJJ for me in so many ways.
Montel's chin let him down against both Roy and Daruisz.
No one ever legitimately decisoned him in his prime.
That's the thing with Griffin, he relied completely on skill. Didn't have a great chin, didn't have much real talent, wasn't fast, didn't have much power, just a whole load of skills. Shame.
At his best, he was fantastic and he showed it in his biggest fights.
Me too man.
Montel seemed to have his timing and just a bad style for him. I remember watching the first fight and being like woah, Roy is in trouble here! Montel took his left hook away so well and timed beautiful right hands.
The performance in the rematch was outstanding.
